Smooth!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are smooth and blend-able. I enjoyed shading with these a lot. they are also easily resharpened, for lack of a better word. All you have to do is pull the string and it unravels for more charcoal. I enjoyed how smooth this was, no grit or crumbles, nice and smooth.
Over all, I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband absolutely loves these! He is in engineering school so he uses these for school projects. They come in handy when he is messing around with a house project too. He can sketch his ideas down very smoothly with a fine point. The pencils can also take quite a bit of pressure when sketching as well. Good buy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Prang Charcoal pencils write very smooth. I can get a great line with these pencils and there is no pencil shaving mess because all you have to do is remove the paper from the pencil. So easy to use a primary school could do it.

Great Charcoal Pencils - A must for any artist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Prang Charcoal medium, paper wrapped pencils offer artists the ability to use charcoal anywhere with minimal effort. My son does a lot of drawings for school and relaxation. He loved these pencils and felt he was able to pull out some beautiful shading with them. The charcoal is a good size and is high quality. The only con we could come up with is the wrapping can be somewhat difficult because of tearing but he was able to get the hang of it after a little time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using these pencils pretty frequently the past few times and I must say, I like the paper wrapped. The charcoal pencils seems to go on smooth and easy. No mess. Vibrant colors and easy on the fingers. I tend to get indents on my fingers from pencils (must be the way I hold them) and these do not leave the indents in my fingers. Highly recommended for any artist of all ages.

And I nearly used a little more then half of one pencil. I can't wait to do more drawing and try a few new techniques.

Not exactly what I was expecting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used charcoal pencils for years with my drawings always wanting to try this type that tear away instead of needing sharpening. I had never tried the Prang brand before but had at least heard of it. It feels and smudges like a cheap color pencil would. The color isn’t a rich as it normally is with other charcoal pencils and it doesn’t even want to stay on the paper well. i definitely wouldnt but more and won’t be using these on anything important. May even just give the rest to my kids.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These charcoal pencils are so great! I love the paper peel on them, as sharpening charcoal can be a bit daunting. The charcoal seems to stand up well with minimal breakage, for me. It puts down smooth lines and blends with ease. I think these would be great for any age person, at any charcoal skill level. Great quality and at a price that won't break the bank.
