Excellent board with great bios options. Fairly straight forward and easy to use. AI overclock did take my voltage limits kind of high so I decided to manually OC. Overall great board.
Nice board if you can get it to work. Issues still

Not sure what is going on here. Had issues getting anything to be recognized in the top pcie and nvme slots. The ones that have metal around them. My XFX Merc 310 7900xtx wouldn't be recognized or my crucial t700 4tb nvme. This is before and after the latest bios and intel me microcode update. Used the middle plastic slot for my gpu and it was finally recognized. Also used a lower slot for the nvme and it now works. Finally booted into Windows 11 and got it running. However, it crashes randomly and also will take several reboots to get back into windows at times. I'm assuming it's a mobo issue.

Dear William Cross,
We certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are having issues getting anything to be recognized.
For a smooth and trouble-free integration of third-party hardware, please check the PCIe bifurcation table on the support site at: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1037507/. Also, we recommend that you take the motherboard outside the case to be able to see if hardware are installed properly. If you are experiencing system crash or stability issues with your build, this can either a hardware or software related issue. Please ensure Windows was installed clean, or fresh from scratch using this motherboard with all updates installed, chipset and video drivers up to date. If Windows was installed clean, please check if all the third-party hardware are compatible and working properly.

The motherboard was amazing and now JUNK. Worked flawlessly for 4 months and no changes or upgrades. Now continually spikes and shuts down the entire system without warning. I have had computer tech and myself both upgrade BIOS after the failures started (CODE 55). I cannot get anyone at ROG ASUS to talk to me about this, despite trying to call and trying to email.

Dear Chris BCritter,
We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused if the system started to auto shutdown, and popping up a code 55 BIOS error.
Code 55 is usually a memory issue, please load optimze default after a successful BIOS flash. Try to test the memory. or try another known good RAM to isolate the problem. The auto-shutdown is usually a power issue, this can be related to either the PSU, CPU, or motherboard. If you don't have spare hardware to test, we recommend you send the product in for service to determine if this is a motherboard issue so this may be resolved immediately. A RMA number is required to send it in for service. For RMA details, please go to: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/818/. If you need further assistance with the warranty service for the product, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I will be more than happy to help. Have enjoyed my new Asus Rog Strix Z790-E WiFi motherboard. It has all of the features that I could ever need and found it on sale, so that makes the purchase even better. RGB features are very pleasing. Storage capacity for SSD's is more than enough than anyone could ever need. Installation went very smoothly. Flash Bios feature worked great to update to latest Bios version. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.
