Excellent quality construction with good heat management features. Love the code display for identifying any problems. Didn't have any problems though. BIOS updated easily and everything worked as expected.
I have been using the ROG STRIX Z790 E GAMING WIFI motherboard and it has been an outstanding experience. Right from the start, the build quality and overall design really impressed me. Everything feels solid and well made.
One feature I really appreciate is the digital Q-Code indicator on the board. It makes it much easier to troubleshoot during startup and gives me peace of mind when making changes or pushing performance limits. It is a simple addition but extremely useful.
In terms of performance, the motherboard has been very reliable. It runs everything I need smoothly, whether I am gaming or working on more demanding tasks. The BIOS is clean and easy to navigate, with plenty of options for users who like to fine tune their system.
Because of how well this board has performed, I plan to continue using ROG Strix motherboards and coolers in the future. They consistently offer great performance and smart features that make the building process much smoother.
I highly recommend this board to anyone looking to build a dependable and high performance system.
Buyer beware, I have had ASUS products for as long as I can remember. Been gaming since the 90s, but this board let me down. I purchased it in March 2025. It is now July 1 of 2025 and my board just quit working. I went through the standard troubleshooting trying to figure out what was wrong. It was thrown a yellow light like the chips were bad. I tried pulling one chip out and the other verified I had them in the correct slots and nothing. I ordered new ram, thinking that somehow in some weird twisted universe both chips had died at the same time. I know that’s a far reach, but I couldn’t think of anything else. The new chips came. I popped them into the board. I’m still getting the yellow light. I have tried absolutely everything including a CMOS reset and popping the battery out. The board is dead. I have no idea what caused it, but I am just made at the cost of the board could fail after only two months of what I would consider to be fairly light use. I have yet to contact ASUS to see if they will honor an RMA. But the performance of the board has left me somewhat shocked. But that being said, I don’t want people to think that a singular instance makes these boards good. I have the same board in my laptop, which gets much more use and it works flawlessly, so I am left to think that I must’ve gotten the board that was assembled on Friday or something.
