Nice upgrade!

My old robot vacuum bit the dust after 4 years. I wanted a self emptying one this time. This vacuum does not disappoint so far! It's already had to empty itself once after cleaning 3 rooms. I didn't clean while I waited for my new one to arrive so I could see just how good it did. So far I am very happy with this purchase. It's not the quietest little thing but neither was my old one. I'm also really impressed with the mapping system. It got my house mapped out on the first try. We did hit a snag with the brush roller already though. I lose a ton of hair and it built up on the roller and caused it to send a warning to unwrap it. But that could be my fault as well since I didn't vacuum for 3 days. I'm hoping this one lasts just as long or longer than my other one.

Great Robot Vacuum

I was hesitant to invest in a robot vacuum as I had one previously of a different brand, however I am extremely satisfied with my new Shark Matrix Self Emptying Robot Vacuum. It does an excellent job cleaning all my hardwood floors. We live in a sandy area and have 2 dogs so it gets a real workout. Since I am a senior citizen, it is wonderful that I don't have to crawl under the bed to vacuum!

This is a terrible model.

It has been less than a month since I’ve received the replacement unit and the same problem of it not following the map and finishing a cleaning cycle five minutes into the cycle has started. At this time, it does ok if I just push the button on the vacuum to clean. But that method failed eventually on the one that this has replaced, so my expectations are low. I’m really bummed to be stuck with this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this about 9 months ago to replace a Shark that I had for 3 years that was Magnificent, it’s vacuumed every morning, I emptied it every evening and used air compressor on Sundays to give it a good dusting. This Matrix is absolute junk! I spend more time emptying a dust pan that’s empty and trying to figure out what’s wrong with it than it spends vacuuming. I have to empty it, nothing in there, 3 times before it will do its job. Most of time there are spots on the floor it misses. Don’t waste your money on this model.

Shockingly awesome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shark matrix self emptying robot was shockingly awesome. It has a bagless self empty base. So when it is done it backs up to the base and the filter sucks it through to the bagless self empty container. This is very powerful vacuum robot. Claims that the shark is anti-hairwrap which is true for the most part. However this is not the case for the side brush. Side brush has to be maintained because the hair does wrap in its mechanism. Runs off of a precision grid for a matrix clean, no spots missed. It easily detects and avoids anything around its radius. Works on carpets and hard floors. The only thing that I do not like about the shark matrix is that you have to use the app to download on your cell. I can see how that would be a problem for some cell phones. But the app itself is cool you can see the home mapping. You can select rooms and carpet zones and you can schedule. The shark matrix robot also talks to you. Easy setup and assembly.self empty is loud.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had issues with the robot cleaning all the carpet. I also have a Roomba and never had that issue. The self emptying feature is very nice but it got clogged on first attempt. It did appear to get the carpet clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you notice some clogging within the self-empty base. I would suggest scheduling frequent cleaning missions from within the SharkClean app. This will allow less debris to be picked up with each cleaning mission which will result in less debris moving though the robot to the self-empty base.

Love, love, love this!! The shark saves me so much time and provides me with the time to do other things. Purchased a different brand at one time but returned it. Decided to give Shark a try and I am not disappointed! I have no complaints at this point in time! I love it!!

My Best Friend!

I call this mom’s best friend! I don’t know how I managed before this vacuum. I am so busy as many others; when I have a moment to spare, I don’t want to spend it cleaning. I have two teenage boys and live in a big neighborhood with many kids. People are in and out of my house nonstop. My floors get messy every day, and it can be a lot to keep them looking presentable. But, with this vacuum, I can let it do its thing while I tackle work or other projects, making one less thing for me to worry about. Not to mention, it does a better job than I can do on my own. In my opinion, these are greatest inventions and this vacuum is my best friend!
