The hardware itself is awesome. I find things a bit slow to load but maybe that's my configuration. I know Chrome can be a beast. Came from a Dell XPS which was great to this which feels that much more premium. If you're considering a high end laptop, this is premium in price but it is worth it.

The Eclipse Black finish with the Aura design makes it stand out from the standard ThinkPad look while retaining its professional appeal. At just over 2.5 lbs, it’s impressively light yet solid, with the durability you’d expect from the X1 Carbon line. Performance is excellent thanks to Intel’s latest processors, fast LPDDR5 memory, and speedy SSD storage. The 14ʺ display is sharp and vibrant, with options for high-res and low-power panels depending on your needs. The keyboard remains one of the best in the industry, offering comfort for long typing sessions. Battery life is strong enough for a full workday, and connectivity is future-proof with Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 7, and ample USB options. The only trade-off is the premium price, but for professionals who want a mix of style, power, and reliability, the Gen 13 Aura Edition delivers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a professional user, my experience with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition has been notably positive so far. The laptop impresses immediately with its lightweight design, making it highly portable and ideal for frequent travel or long workdays. Performance-wise, it is fast and very responsive, efficiently handling demanding tasks without lag. The build quality reflects Lenovo’s commitment to durability and premium craftsmanship, delivering a device that feels solid and well-engineered. While these strengths ensure a reliable and enjoyable user experience, the device does not include standout features that might compel me to shortlist it in a sweepstakes or award context. It excels as a premium, well-rounded professional laptop, but stays modest rather than extraordinary.

I must say, the Gen 13 is impressively compact and lightweight compared to my longtime work companion. It runs Power BI flawlessly and has been a real relief for my daily commute and meetings.
