A terrific induction cooktop, when it works

Bought this May 2019. Had all the features I wanted and none of the useless bells and whistles I did not want. Installed easily and cooked wonderfully. Still does! Unfortunately, the right-hand burner partially failed within 6 months and was replaced under the manufacturer's warranty. Now that replacement burner has also failed less than a year later and must be replaced again. This will be covered by the SquareTrade warranty I purchased The burner failure is odd. It *does* heat but at a very low rate. Takes about 15 minutes to bring a pot of water to a very gentle boil and never goes beyond that. Left-side burner bring the same pot with the same amount of water to a furious boil in about 2-3 minutes. I believe the right burner will continue to fail so I expect to face a full burner replacement repair every year or so. I have heard from service techs that this is a common problem with Frigidaire induction cooktops.

Good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does not provide the even heat distribution it claims and I have to turn pans around during cooking to keep one side from burning. It does bring small pans of water quickly to a boil, but not larger pans.

Was hesitant at first, but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I read a million reviews and settled on this induction cooktop. After it was installed we bought an All Clad saucepan and it took almost 8 minutes to boil a few cups of water. We had buyers remorse but then realized it was the pot after using a cast iron pot next. The saucepan went back and we ordered a new set of stainless cookware and are loving the cooktop. Very precise! Also, we first only used the power boil feature and the humming sound was a bit ofd but unless you are using that feature it is quiet. I enjoy cooking with this very much.
