[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so glad I finally made the switch to induction cooking! This Frigidaire 30-Inch Induction cooktop has completely transformed my kitchen experience. It’s very aesthetically pleasing to look at – sleek and modern, and it gives my kitchen a real upgrade. Was pretty easy to install in the same spot that housed our previous electric stovetop.
This thing heats up so fast, it's amazing. Boiling water is practically instant now, and I love how responsive it is when I need to adjust the temperature. The knobs are a dream to use – so much better than those touch controls that never seem to work when my hands are wet (which is always!).
And can we talk about how easy it is to clean? Seriously, a quick wipe and it's spotless. No more scrubbing at baked-on spills! The bridge element, which basically bridges the left two burners, is perfect for when I'm using my big griddle pan for pancakes and steaks.
Now, here's the one thing that's a bit of a head-scratcher: I've noticed that when I use a power level above 7.5, some of my cookware starts to vibrate. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's definitely noticeable. And it's not just with one particular brand – I've tried three different cookware brands, and they all do it. It seems like maybe this is just something that happens with induction cooktops in general.
Overall though, I'm absolutely thrilled with this cooktop. If you're thinking about making the switch to induction, I highly recommend this Frigidaire cooktop. You won't be disappointed!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This induction cooktop is everything promised. It looks fantastic…sleek, clean, well laid out. Really like the traditional mechanical knobs instead of little digital sliders. Digital display is simple and intuitive. Very gentle hum when burner is heating with pan on it. Noticeable at first but it’s no louder than the sound of a gas stove…probably less. Fast to heat things and precise in controlling temperatures. Great appliance!
We just installed this new cooktop and chose it because it has knobs. I did not give 5 stars because the right front corner does not sit flush with the countertop due to an underneath bracket sitting out more than the other two brackets. I can tell I’m going to be using a knife to clean out junk that collects between the countertop and the cooktop. I noticed another review with the same issue. If we cut out more of the countertop to accommodate the bracket I think we’d end up with a gap and that I could not live with. I wish I could find a stainless trim kit that would work.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased October 2024, with current Frigidaire sale incredible value compared to other major brands. Extremely happy with purchase, replaced an electric radiant cook top. This product cooks better than gas from usage of family cook tops and way, way easier to clean. First test after installation was a smaller sauce pan with 3” of cold water on the 6” element area, result? Boiled water in 1 min 19 seconds on Pb! Immediate response when lowering temp selection was amazing. Love the knobs over questionable touch controls on many other cook tops (per reviews of issues with wet fingers and easily confusing steps and inadvertent selections). Fan noise very minimal. Zero hum with high quality cookware. Would highly recommend, well made product very satisfied. Only one comment to keep in mind, this unit requires a 40 AMP breaker with 8 AWG 3 wire plus ground (the 30”, the 36” 50 AMP 6 AWG). This is required for safety and optimal performance, well worth the upgrade to our electric service panel but we have easy accessiblity and only 30 feet from cook top to the panel in the basement to replace 30 AMP and 10 AWG. Easy DIY with a master electrician friend. Awesome unit, thank you Frigidaire
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced electric cooktop. Wanted to get gas but was over 2,000 just for the hook up. Cooktop has great temperature control. The knobs make it easy to adjust temperature. Spills clean up easy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we have been very happy with this purchase. It was one of the only induction cooktops with knobs which we like very much.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to replace a Bosch conventional cooktop that had confusing touch controls, Love that this has intuitive dial controls. Also love the instant response of the induction heating elements. Takes a little getting used to but cooks more like gas. The hum from the fan is noticeable but not too loud. So far I love it
