Big Step Up from Galaxy Watch 4

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from the 44mm galaxy watch 4 and very impressed by design look and performance. I love the larger screen and longer battery life. For work I heavily use timer functions and outlook email. For home, sleep tracking has let me know when i needed more rest, improving my mood and judgment on what projects to tackle. Plus programmable buttons offer great customization. Option to add powerful google assistant is awsome. I laughed at latest apple watches because galaxy watches have already had those features for years (gestures).

An incremental upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've loved my old Galaxy Watch4 (now gifted to family), and am finding the new Watch6 Classic 47mm to be a nice upgrade.
Using the watch to pay has become my default anywhere that supports tap to pay and is probably the feature I use the most.
I was skeptical at first on whether the larger size and weight of the 47mm classic would be an issue, but except for the first few minutes when i was directly comparing them, I haven't noticed a difference.
I'm still waiting on activating the LTE line, but like that I now have it as an option.
Software wise there are no major differences from the previous version, and I've never had performance issues with either model.
The Classic rotating bezel is a great upgrade, and one of they key reasons s I chose to update. It makes navigating some menus much easier, and doubles as added protection for the screen (compared to the standard model where I felt the need to add a case and screen protector).
Despite all of the good, there are two areas I disliked in the upgrade. First, it was difficult to setup and the SmartSwitch refused to generate a backup of my old watch. In the end I was forced to manually reinstall all of my apps and slowly reinstate my lost preferences.
The other complaint is the new band. While the push button release mechanism is really nice, the default faux leather band simply wasn't for me and I reused the 3rd party nylon one from my old watch, though my nephew likes the new band on the handmedown watch.

My 1st real smartwatch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 1st smart watch since I tried an old fenix 2. I am blown away. Works awesome when I exercise and don't want to carry my cellphone around. Connects to my headphones and plays amazon music with no problems. The sleep monitor thing is awesome but don't use it as much anymore because I prefer to sleep without a watch on.
