As long as you get the right kosher or rock salt, this grinder is perfect , adjustable grind levels help add the right amount and the ceramic grinder keeps it from rusting - I live near the ocean!

The Cole & Mason copper salt and pepper mills are a very stylish addition to our table. They are both modern and timeless, adding a sophisticated and eye-appealing touch to our dining experience. Additionally, the smooth operating grinding action, along with the multiple grind size selection on each mill, provides just the right amount of seasoning for each user. While the gift set comes with each mill partially filled so that you can enjoy them immediately, it would have been a nice touch to have full mills out of the box.

Best grinder ever

I am using it for a spice grinder and it works excellently. I have a pepper grinder that works so well I decided to get this one for a spice blend I use. looks great and works very well. might buy a salt grinder for salt next.
