Great Video Doorbell

I am sold on the Lorex Products. I just replaced my old video doorbell to the Lorex 2k video doorbell. What a difference day and night! This camera has a great picture supported by a really good app…Lorex Home… easy installation, well built, and supported with good features. It has great view angle, ability to customize a message that will be heard when someone rings the doorbell, a night light that activates when the doorbell is rung , two way speaker and alarm. The notification to your phone when alerted, is quick and the playback populates very quickly, which is important when someone walks up to your door. I also have the 4K fusion smart deterrence system which is another review on its own. I’m looking forward to the launch of the Lorex Chime that will support the doorbell. If you have been researching a video doorbell, then you just found the one that you need. It really is a great product. Lorex has a phenomenal technical and Sales team.

Great Camera, TERRIBLE app

I love it. It is great to have a notification when someone comes to the door, enters or exits, etc. You can adjust the notification area so that you aren't notified for people too far away. A light comes on when you approach the door which is great because my doorway is not well lit, so it helps when unlocking the door. My only complaint is the app. I have the cameras too and there is an option to turn off notifications when you are home and it DOES NOT WORK. So I can't comment on how that would work with a doorbell that would want on when you are home. I have had the cameras for a few years and I keep waiting for an app upgrade.

Will not sync with my NVR

Will not sync with my NVR but Lorex customer service has been great. They are looking into the issue and will send a new one if needed. Otherwise, it’s a great camera with a ton of features. I like how when someone rings the doorbell it calls your cell phone just like a real call. This way you can immediately speak with the person at the door. Very nice feature.

Forget Amazon Ring or Arlo Doorbells.

I have owned both Amazon Ring Pro and Arlo Doorbells. I upgraded from Arlo, to Ring to Lorex. I found Lorex to be the best smart doorbell of the bunch. On my phone or tablet, the Lorex live view comes up quicker than Ring or Arlo. The image quality in low light is slightly better than both. The Lorex Doorbell can do all the things that Arlo and Ring Pros ie; person, face and vehicle detection. The big difference is I don’t have to a monthly feed to watch my videos two days or a week later.
