Sun Baked Lens = Blurred Vision

Our door faces the south so the southern California sun slowly bakes the plastic so the view becomes fogged. Like fogged headlights on many cars. Better materials would prevent this problem. After three years, the view is so fogged we have to replace the unit.

Same problems as my first Lorex

My first Lorex lost the wifi signal about once a month. In removing it from the bracket to press the reset button, I dropped it & scratched the lens. Since I also owned the Lorex chime, I purchased another Lorex video doorbell. The new one lost the wifi signal after the first week, plus I had to reboot it twice in the past 3 days. It is only about 15 feet from my wifi router. The 2k feature provides a clear, clean video & the unit has good motion detection. These technical problems should have been corrected in the newer version & the reset button should be easier to access.

Picture quality is not the best it lags and I cannot connect with Alexa. I have tried everything and it wont work. All my other cameras worked but not the doorbell camera.

Great doorbell

I bought this to replace a Lorex 4k camera that stopped working shortly after installing. It could not be reconnected as it would not send out a wi-fi signal. We are still waiting to get a refund on that one. We have been told that Lorex only sends replacements, and we don't need another doorbell, especially a 4k one.

We are doing a new build and the Lorax is the last thing to be installed. Once the house is complete I will do a follow up.
