Great camera, but ...

Picture quality is great, night vision is great even with landscape lighting shining on the house, but why all the security on the app itself? The result is, it is very slow and after a month of use I have never been able to get in touch with someone at my door. By the time you get the notice, log into your phone, log into the app, whomever was at the door is already halfway down the driveway. Seriously, I can't think of any reason why you need security to get into the app on an already secure phone. Get rid of that so the response time can become useful. - Android Note 10 Ultra 5g

I would like to say that this was the easiest camera install I have done. Replaced my Ring Camera with this and it was super simple. No more subscription and better video quality. Love the light it has on it!!

This doorbell replaced our Arlo wireless doorbell. We purchased a 24V transformer power adapter and it powers the doorbell just fine. It doesn’t have a dedicated chime but Home Center does notify when the doorbell is pressed. Video is great quality and software is responsive. I’m hoping we get the chime when it comes available in 2022. Until then it works great with the Home App and Home Center.

Integration into Lorex's 4k DVR could be a lot better, but I believe its a problem with the DVR. The mobile app works well.

Installation tips on 2K Wired Video Doorbell

These tips will save you hours of frustration. 1) The included printed instructions lead you to believe the chime module is only installed on mechanical door chimes. Turns out that the chime module is also installed on electronic door chimes too. If you don’t, the system won’t work properly and your door chime will activate every few seconds and the video door bell will not stay on for set-up. 2) Also, if your old set-up with a mechanical door bell button had a diode (frequently used with electronic door chimes & mechanical door bell buttons) - the diode is not needed with the 2K video door bell. That point is not mentioned anywhere in the printed instructions. 3) Lastly, the space behind the 2K video doorbell (including the mounting bracket) is not very large, which makes it tough to conceal the wires when attaching the 2K video door bell to the mounting bracket on the wall.
Other than these tips, the product works well.

Camera was working great; however, it has gone offline for some reason and I am not able to troubleshoot it locally. 2 other connected wi-fi cameras are operating correctly so the router is working...

easy setup

This was easy to setup and get working with my system. I am still tweaking the setting to get less false notifications. My only issue is that it doesn't always notify me when the doorbell is pressed and I am away form the house.

Needs HomeKit integration

The video quality is great and installation is pretty straight forward if you have a pre-wired doorbell you are upgrading from. I like the local storage ability and integration with the rest of my Lorex cameras. This doorbell, however, needs HomeKit integration. I detest keeping track of different apps for each smart device so I want to find everything in my Home App on my iPhone. Add HomeKit and Siri integration and you have a 5-star product. The motion detection on most Lorex products works well but could also be improved to avoid false alerts when clouds pass by and the brightness changes.
