When I’m not at home it has a hard time replaying the events that it recorded. Other than that really simple to install and didn’t take long.

Replacement and Better design

Replaced the older 1080 model
Much easier to mount than the older 1080 model
Older model still works had it for 3 years.
Little weather beaten but so satisfied with it that we decided to upgrade to 2 k with added features and clear picture

A typical video doorbell

The Lorex video doorbell is a typical video doorbell like others have produced. One of the good features is that it does not need a subscription to store your videos, because everything is stored on a SD card in the doorbell itself. It has a fast notification when there is movement in range of the doorbell. One of the caveats is that it doesn’t have the same features as cloud-based video doorbells such as personalized person recognition or notifications when a package has been left. Other than that, it is a capable device. Hopefully they can improve the features of this doorbell through firmware updates.

Good images but false facial recognition

Images and color are great. I love the lighting on unit. I am getting a lot of false facial recognition triggers though. I do wish that was a little better.

Good but could be better

This doorbell camera is good but could use better notices for person detection and and option for package left or removed. There is no package option. Something that i had on the nest doorbell that i liked over this one. Though i can see the marks on the timeline it doesn’t notify when its detecting these things like it does with the other cameras in my lorex system.
