Good Yet Short of Great

The device is attractive and was easy to install. Directions were specific enough to get the job done. Viewing angle is wide which I like. Had to call tech support for assistance getting it added to my existing Lorex NVR/camera system and Lorex Home app. Their help is always top notch.
Day time video quality is good but I'm a bit disappointed with night time quality. It is quite grainy and it has a recurring flash of extra graininess (if that's a word) about every 5-7 seconds. ??

Only down side is does not connect to my mechanical doorbell- even with professional trying to set it up. Waiting for lorex to develop a plug in compatible chime

completing solution

I have an 8 camera Lorex system as well as a sensor kit. I added this as one more part of the complete solution. My cameras provide me with a complete 'look' around my home except for the last 4 feet in front of my front door. Add to that the distance to the camera that almost covers that door making audio difficult/impossible -- and you have my thinking for the video doorbell.
Installation was simple. Drop power, remove old doorbell, install backing plate and new doorbell and finally add chime unit to the existing door bell chime. Power it up - work thru the home app a little and the solution is running.
This 'lost' a star in that it doesn't integrate well with the Lorex NVR and shows up distinct in the app as well. The extra step to add a component to the doorbell chime was the other reason for losing a star.
Now that the solution is in place and working, It is an excellent step in providing more complete security for my home.

The Clarity of the camera is excellent and sharp, The second part is the sensor range extraordinary but the best part is the no monthly fees.
