The 2k doorbell camera kit was the best decision for my home. I put one on the front and back doors. Install was a breeze, only 2 hours to install them both. I would highly recommend this kit!

Good video quality and easy to install

I just got this doorbell and got it installed by myself. It's pretty simple to install and configure in Lorex app and wifi setting. It detects people motion pretty acturate. It came with 32 MB micro SD card, which can record for 3 days. bigger SD card would be much better 1 week of video recording would ideal. Overall it's a good buy. I highly recommend this doorbell.

As I'm writing this, I'm still extremely happy with the performance and video quality of the doorbell camera! You see, less than 24 hours after I had installed this doorbell, a neighbor had a truck ramming into her house, ending with, well, a "bang". The doorbells ability to capture crystal clear video and amazingly detailed audio caught not only each impact, but every word yelled by the defending individual. This camera not only makes me feel much safer (especially when bundled with the Lorex Fusion NVR, more on that in a moment), but it also helped my neighbor when the police conducted their investigation. Even the officers were impressed with the quality of the camera. Well designed, and elegant to boot!
Now, the only flaw with this camera, is that extracting video footage from it can be a bit problematic. The doorbell will not record continuously, as the NVR does. Setting the doorbell up with the NVR was a bit tricky, but once I was able to figure out what device it is on my WiFi network, and use the username "admin" with the password given at setup, it all clicked home. Some direct-from-Lorex documentation would help in this situation greatly. Ease of use, other than that, is excellent. But it needs to be easier to extract the video in Avi or Mp4 formats (both came up as corrupt on multiple attempts). Even using the miniplayer to convert it through screen record didn't help. I had to supply the video in native Dav format with the player. My guess, is that audio confuses the transcoding a bit?
Otherwise, 10/5 stars! Great product! Thank you Lorex!!
