Accurate temperature and comfortable handle

This is our second pour-over kettle from OXO and we love it. Handle is very comfortable and temperature readings are accurate. The kettle heats up quickly as well.

This kettle is excellent. Looks sleek enough on our countertop, functions well, heats very quickly. The handle is nice to hold for pouring. I love that you can so easily modulate the temperature and that the kettle base shows some suggestions for different types of tea/coffee when you lift the kettle itself. The gooseneck pours smoothly and is a great flow. I'm very happy with this purchase at the price point.

I admit, i used this 8717100,kettle everyday. Truth is this little kettle makes best pour coffee. Today the handle came off to my sadness , rendering it useless. What can i do to repair.?

The Kettle works great...for a while

I really liked the kettle...it seems to get great reviews and heats up faster than most. Unfortunately within 3 years the base pad started going haywire on me. Would be nice to be able to buy a new base but I don't see that option. For that amount of money I would expect more so I'll look elsewhere for a new one.

Love the gooseneck spout! It's great for our pour-over! The max water fill word and line inside the kettle is a little faint, but still is a great tea kettle.

Good good neck. Accurate digital temp with easy to adjust dial.
The annoying part is that it turns on every time you lift the kettle up. This auto on feature has more than once allowed us to boil the kettle dry as we didn’t know we were turning the kettle on. So we have to go out of our way to turn it off with two button clicks (one to confirm the temp and another to turn it off). This auto-on feature should be removed. Instead you should manually turn your kettle on - period.
Otherwise a good product at a good price.
