Blink Outdoor Security Cameras

Awesome product. Easy to install. took a couple days to set up to get them to where any nuisance alerts could be set to avoid notification. Was getting alerts from snow flakes and an annoying squirrel that likes to run down the top of my fence line. Picture quality is amazing.

These are more suitable for indoor use than outdoo

Ordered these from BB and the delivery was quick. The camera setup and mount is very easy. Although storing videos to the cloud requires subscription, it's free to use a local storage drive with the Blink module.
The cameras work well but we primarily arm them when no one is at home. It's Worth noting that these are suitable for indoor use where movement is minimal and you want to use motion detection to be notified of entry in your home. These are not to be used as 'live monitoring' devices or for areas with heavy movement. The 2 year battery life is an exaggerated claim - the blink website outlines what you can expect to do if you want it to last 2 years - and it's literally like 30 seconds of usage per day.
PROS: Easy to setup and install Local storage of clips is free Video quality (indoor) is acceptable Motion detection is good but if there's very quick movement in low light, the camera sometimes fails to detect it
CONS: Audio quality is horrible. There's no way this can be called '2 way audio' The camera is certainly not suited for outdoors, continuous usage. Battery life is surely nowhere near as long as what's described.
If you're looking for something to use indoors as a 'movement monitor' for when you're away, these cameras are useful. If you need a live feed device for indoor or outdoor use, look elsewhere.

Outdoor camera with 2 double A batteries survived. -31 in January so that’s impressive. So far so good with a minor delay in sending video. Definitely picks up motion way quicker if going across then straight on. Worth it!

Breaks after a couple of years.

At first it's okay. I replace the battery 3x in 2 years. At 1/2 sensitivity, camera gets triggered couple of dozens a day. And miss motions by human 30% of the time. Gets triggered by the sound ONLY of truckS, cars and even sound of people talking close to camera. NOT even in the view. On 3rd time I replaced the batteries(2nd yr). 2 out of 4 cameras, the case became brittle. And.... you get the picture.

Owned system for 2.5 years

I’ve owned the system for a while now and am expanding it for a second location.
The good: easy to set up and simple system. Batteries are still working at 2.5 years without changing (but they did show signs of low strength during a winter cold snap). The daytime video is good. No subscription needed on the old legacy account using sync 1 modules. The app is intuitive and dependable. Several options for mounting accessories.
The bad: video alerts are slightly delayed. Night video On the outdoor cams is not great (but what can you expect at this price point), I haven’t been able to use the two-way audio well but might be b/c background noise levels, live video for short periods.
The new ones: cloud storage is now only accessible with a subscription unless you are grandfathered with the previous sync module 1. Generally the same camera but moving to subscription based (with a few more features) or local storage. The local storage replaces the free cloud storage and does not allow live video recording (without the subscription).

Not Waterproof

Do not purchase these if you plan to use them outdoors. We have 2 systems, one at each of our properties so have 7 outdoor cameras. We purchased then just over a year ago. Three of the camera have quit and when we opened them they were wet and corroded. We contact blink and they said water inside is considered physical damage so they will not stand behind them. They advertise them as water resistant however they will NOT stand up if rained on. If you want outdoor cameras find another product as these are only good indoors or in a covered area.

Battery life is short and doesn't capture some

First, is the battery life. The longest is 3 months and have to replace them. I tried to adjust the settings so it won't use a lot of battery life but doesn't work. What's frustrating too is that it doesn't catch some movement. I can walk pass to my driveway and doesn't record. The setting in between movements also missing clips even if I set it for 10 seconds.
