It’s 2022!! Wireless charging is a thing!

Listen, if you’ve ever had any Bose product then you should know the bass and audio quality will be as precise as you can get with their products. The noise cancellation is amazing but I do wish I could do a hybrid of noise cancellation and aware mode. Kind of like a middle point between the two. With that being said, I listened to an immersive podcast and whew! That had me forgetting I was sitting in my room for a good minute. Now, here’s the thing…it is 2022! We have gone through a pandemic, 300 different phone versions of that look the same, other devices that have a touch screen and folds, and we have VR eyewear. Why, why, why has Bose not equipped this charging case with wireless charging?!? It’s already a huge case in comparison to a few other wireless earbuds on the market but the fact that I now have to get yet another USB-C block for the provided cable with these earbuds irks me. This is, or should be, standard across the community now. Imagine buying a phone today and it doesn’t have a gps or Bluetooth capabilities. Crazy, right?! All in all, the sound quality is great, the call quality seems to be ok for now but I do want to circle back to that later on with more use, the fit of the buds themselves stay in my ear without feeling like their going to slip out, and the design is very sleek. You can barely see them when I put them in. This case though…this case is too big for it not to have the ability to charge wirelessly. I do hate that these are Master/slave ear buds as well. You can’t use the left independently from the right. That’s a big disappointment for me.

Are you aware that you can set presets of noise cancellation within the Bose Music app? Modes are groups of settings that you can create and quickly switch between depending on your situation. There are multiple Modes available to start. You can also create your own Modes to quickly recall the different settings that work best for you. We appreciate your comments regarding wireless charging, the QuietComfort Earbuds II charging case does not have wireless charging capability. If you are concerned about finding a wall adaptor this headset comes with a USB-C cable that allows the charging case to be charged from your PC or laptop. Please note that the PC or laptop must be on and awake in order to charge over USB, and charge time may increase. Earbuds must be placed in the case to charge them, a quick 20-minute charge provides up to 2 hours of play time.

We're happy that you're finding the earbuds comfortable, we do suggest users should take some time to experiment with different eartip and stability band sizes to arrive at a combination that suits them, providing a gentle seal and a comfortable, stable experience. Keep in mind that it’s common for left and right ears to vary slightly in shape, so sizes may not match from left to right. Also, eartip and stability band sizes may be mixed and matched (such as using a size small eartip with a large stability band).

Finally, regarding your comments on using the left earbud independently. You can now use the left or the right for music or phone calls, make sure you get the latest firmware update through the Bose Music app.

Love at First Sound

I had a hard time keeping the earbuds snug and preventing them from falling out of my ear. My ear wax becomes very liquid like and the buds seem to generate more wax.
I finally got the fit right. Movement of any kind causes the buds to dislodge. I guess that is why the actors are portrayed physically in Bose ads as inactive while wearing the buds. I use mine around the house while doing light house work or just in the morning getting ready for work. I like to screen out irritating sounds from other noisy family members that come through my paper thin non-insulated home walls. Initially thought that it had to fit in my ear better with a smaller tip. Ended up using the medium and switching the outer ring to large so that it would lodge in my outer ear and stay put better.
Cleaning with alcohol and q-tips, and soap and water was not enough. Each time I use the earbuds, I use an eyeglass lens wipes to clean my ears and clean the earbuds.
The Recharge/storage case could be improved by adding subtle grip ridges on the sides. The case frequently slips from my fingertips when I pick them up so I have to grab it with my whole hand. Since I am older, my hands are not as nimble as they used to be.
In summary I Love the ear buds, Love Bose products, Gives piece of mind to be able to screen out noises and listen to what I want to, when I want or need to. Helps me keep my sanity. It is very easy to switch to aware mode quickly to listen to others around me when needed. Bose products enable me to hear every instrument and voice in my music that I don’t hear without them. Keeps a smile on my face.

Horrible for phone conversations. Not comfortable.

Can't have a normal phone conversation. Caller says the background noise is horrible and there is static feedback all the time

Worked for 20 minutes

Bought them and set them up. They worked for the 20 minute Setup time. Went to use them the next day and left bud failed. Returned them. Wanted them replaced but no option. Couldn’t repurchase them at the sale price. Disappointed to say the least.

Almost perfect

Everything is so good on these. My only beef would be with the controls. I have long hair so it makes the lack of any haptic feedback difficult to work with. I have to be very deliberate to get it to do the right thing, and any contact when adjusting my hair will pause or skip songs. But other than that the noise cancelling is phenomenal. The irritation from the controls far outweighs the fact that these make Airpod Pro 2's sound like dollar store headphones and put their noise cancellation to shame. I love the different sizes of rubber attachments that make it ultra secure and comfortable in my ears. With the app I was able to set the left ear to activate Google assistant when I long press it, and the right will toggle quiet mode/aware mode when long pressed. I love them.

These Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are just top notch! They are light and with different size sleeves in the package will fit right in any ear.. The noise cancelling is perfect in the amount of noise it blocks while still allowing enough ambient noise while listening to create a very symphonic like experience. The sound is just incredible, I tried them out with all different types of music and was in awe at notes and tones I had never heard in songs before! The smartphone app is easy to navigate and quite helpful with set up and checking back if you forget how to change a setting. All the settings are easy to set and find with few clicks.
