I took the time to get the Bose QC 230 earbuds properly fitted per the instructions and a bit longer to get comfortable with the controls. After a short learning curve the earbuds are comfortable, produce excellent sounds and I am fully satisfied with the over fit and performance.

Love the Earbuds Overall

I bought the QC II’s a few weeks ago. I had bought a pair of the Sport Earbuds with the cord about 5 years ago, and loved them so much. At the beginning of this year, they started falling apart and I was devastated, but I knew Bose would have something new I would love. The QC II’s are amazing. I love being able to go from Quiet mode to Aware mode. This really helps me at work so no one accidentally sneaks up on me! I do wish they came in different colors. I loved the light blue of the original QC’s. Black, dark blue, and dark grey just are not very different. I would love to see pink or purple.
My only complaint is the connectivity. I go back and forth from connecting to my iPhone to connecting to my iPad. With my old Bose Sport Earbuds, I could easily switch the devices via my Bluetooth settings page. The QC II’s require the Bose app and it gets confused easily. There are times where I had been connected to my iPad at work, but then when I get in my car to drive home, I can’t get them to connect to my iPhone. The earbuds make the connect and disconnect chime over and over and over and I can’t get them to connect at all. It’s very frustrating.
Overall I love the earbuds. They are comfy, light weight, and easy to use (when they connect). I love being able to switch back and forth from Quiet Mode to Aware Mode. My favorite feature is when I pull out an earbud, whatever I am listening to automatically stops until I put the earbud back in. My only problem is the app and connectivity. About 25% of the time, it won’t connect no matter what I do.

Best noise canceling earbuds that I have! I hade to return the first set I had because they stopped working. They were still under warranty.

The audio is amazing and noise canceling is great. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the connectivity is a little hard at times.

after using them 3 or 4 times, I cannot get the earbuds to connect to my iphone. The earbuds say they are ready to connect, i turn on the music on my iphone and nothing happens. The has occurred repeatedly, I have tried to resets but the earbuds wont connect.

I've had the earbuds for about a month now. I've had the first version for about 3 yrs. Here's my quick run down.
Pros:
Great noise canceling, maybe best I've ever tried
Superior fit
Clarity is top notch

App is poorly designed compared to other high end earbuds.
Picks up a lot of background noise when talking to people using phone. I'm constantly being told "what's all that noise?"
Case is rounded on bottom, so can't stand up, have to lay it down. I know that's not a big thing, but in certain circumstances, it would be useful.
For a hefty price tag, I expected more

Noise Cancelling works surprisingly well

Having wired over-ear NC Bose headphones, I was skeptical that the earbuds NC feature would work well. It blocks out most sound surprisingly well! The sound is good too. Happy with my purchase.
