Exceptional Mower - Very Pleased!

We love the purchase! I purchased the attachment capable 80v trimmer last year and it has been wonderful as well. What I like about this mower is pretty much everything. It is lighter than our old gas mower, stands up straight, the bag empties super easily and stands up and because it has two batteries but doesn't need more than one to finish the yard I can use the second one if the trimmer battery dies before I'm done (it is a 2Ah battery).
Overall I have nothing but good things to say about the mower.

pro 80v 21" push mower

pros- lightweight, cuts great. cons- headlights are pretty useless, and can't be turned off. (a small negative- but it does use juice.) also- i've been unable to register my unit because there is no way to do it on line, just by phone- long wait times, and haven't been able to get through.

What's the big diff between 40volt and 80volt?

After owning a 40volt I expected the 80volt to be more powerful and more self propelled.

Hello Just a mower,

Thank you for your question and interest in Greenworks Tools!
When it comes to the comparison of our voltage lines, the higher the voltage, the more power the motor has. With that said, the 80V lawn mower would be more powerful. However, the higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is on a battery, the longer the run time will be. If you are doing light to medium jobs, any of the Greenworks 40V Axial platform will suffice. However, if you wish for more power than the 80v line would be the best choice. It is worth noting, with the added power comes a heavier unit. If you have a specific question or would like more information, please feel welcome to speak to a Greenworks representative directly at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

Fantastic Mower!

I was a skeptic at first, sure that an electric mower couldn't rival the power and cut quality of a conventional gas mower. I purchased the 80V unit because it is rated to cut up to an 1 acre and we have a .96 acre lot with tons of weeds and long grass. I have to say I'm more than pleased with my decision to switch. The Greenworks mower is every bit as capable as my previous gas mower was. Plus much better for the environment, easier to maintain, and quieter.

I finally feel like I’m in the 21st century

My two main concerns were battery life and power. After using this for the past month, neither has been an issue at all. This has cut through anything I’ve used it for with no problem. It takes about 30 minutes to cut all of my lawn and that isn’t enough to even get the battery to half. I’m definitely impressed so far!

80V 21” lawnmower

Bought this mower last fall. It came ‘tool only’ and I couldn’t afford the battery and charger at the time. Love to review it. My 60 volt was brilliant till I hit a hidden stump and toasted it. Would like to know if the 80V can run with one battery or the two it’s slotted for. I also feel a little ‘bait and switched’ with the tool only. Love all my other Greenworks tools and would like to stick with you.

Hello waterdog,

Thank you for your interest and your continued support.
While the lawn mower can be used with one battery. It is recommend using both batteries for optimal runtime.

Long runtime. Can't handle thick lawns.

Been using this mower for two seasons. Two issues stand out. 1) It does not handle thick, 3" or more height when cutting. Leaves clumps of grass even when the bag is empty. 2) When the bag is only halfway full, it's enough at that point to block the discharge shoot, and stop anymore clippings from entering the bag. I constantly have to empty the bag well before it is full! It seems the clippings don't get discharged at a high enough velocity to push them further back into the bag!
Pros: Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe

Hello JMatt64

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry to hear about this experience!
In most cases this means either of two things. Depending on the length of the grass and when the last time it was cut the bag may fill up quickly. Another reason, why the grass not flowing into my bagger properly could be the collection bag is clogged. If the lining of your grass bag is clogged with old grass, you should clean it and once clean the air should flow through the grass bag more efficiently and improve the grass collection.
Hope this suggestion helps! If you find that you are still experiencing issues, we would be more than happy to assist with further diagnosis. Please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).
