The 21” blade cuts the lawn in fewer passes. One battery holds enough charge to mow my 8000sf property. The turbo function is how the blade should rotate all the time and is on par with a gas mower when activated. Mower is much quieter than my previous electric mower.

1) Low quality plastics After just two uses - the plastic blade mount came loose and the blade shaved the plastic protrusions holding it in place. I returned my product. 2) the 2.5 Ah batteries are not really great. After 50 minutes of use, these were both completely drained.

My tractor mower seized up and the cheap Big box push mower I had wasn't operable for my 5/8" acre lawn, so I went for this Greenworks mower - very easy quiet to use, easy start and store. Batterys don't last as long as I'd like, but they give a solid hour and to be honest after pushing/walking (i've almost only cut long grass this spring, due to failed other mowers, and travel)...and it cuts good well through that...after an hour I'm ready for a break, batteries charge fairly quick half hour

This mower is great.the cut is good the battery life is great the only thing i did not like is the chute discharge is not great only threw the grass out the chute about 4 inches.

I've had this mower for nearly 4 months and have been impressed by everything except the battery life. The mower is light weight, easy to maneuver, and relatively quiet compared to a gas motor. It cuts well and the motor does a good job ramping up to higher speeds when needed for thicker grass.
I have two 2.0 Ah 80 volt batteries, and given the advertising claim that each battery can power the mower for "30 minutes" I assumed two batteries would be more than enough. Unfortunately, the last 3 times I've mowed my 0.2 acre lawn, I've gone through both batteries before finishing (and before the first battery can complete a recharge). It seems that if the motor has to increase the power for any length of time, the battery life drops precipitously. This has been quite disappointing, and the only solutions seem to be a) delaying the job while the first battery cools down and then charges (around 1 hour) or b) purchasing a higher Ah battery, which is not an inexpensive item.

Hello ZEK_22,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the run time of this battery when used in this lawn mower. It is important to adjust your mowing techniques to make the most out of the battery life, but it goes without saying that that the harder the unit works, the quicker the battery drains. Here are a few mowing tips to help achieve the optimal run time. 1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. We hope these tips will help! If not, we would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please contact Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934. All we ask that you have access to the unit so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
