[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy having an electric mower. It is quieter and much lighter than a traditional gas mower. I am a little disappointed in the shorter than expected battery life so I can’t complete my yard without having to let the batteries cool off and then recharge both batteries.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t had to mow in many years, so having to purchase a mower that I would have to use was interesting with so many choices out there. I can’t tell you how happy I purchased this mower. Never have to worry about having gas. Charge the second battery, while using the first. I don’t walk quick enough to get it done with one battery. The options for bagging or mulching is great. Starting the mower is a dream, just push a button. I couldn’t be more thrilled with this mower.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this battery powered mower to fine tune the mowing on the acreage around our house. Excessive time spent weed trimming no longer made sense where the tractor mower couldn’t reach so we added this machine to our line-up and haven’t been disappointed! We love the mulching feature so that we can use the grass and leaf mulch for our compost garden. Another bonus are the easy to use adjustments for cutting height and user handle height. The battery life is excellent and serves our needs. This is our 3rd Greenworks purchase in the last 2 years and will happily continue to support an American company!
I have had this mower for a couple years now. It is good overall, but I have come to hate the "battery saving grass sensor". It cuts in too soon and doesn't kick back up fast enough, so I have to re-mow sections. The low power setting doesn't generate enough suction to lift grass up into the blade. And I have to move slower, so it takes longer to finish the job. A simple variable speed "trigger" like every cordless drill on the market would be way better. My second beef, is the tall "power pod". It inhibits mowing under obstacles like lawn furniture, fencing etc. Don't copy the "styling" of outdated gas mowers. This is another area where electric mowers can be better than gas. Take a hint from vacuums and flatten it out.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 30 years of having a lawn service, I purchased my GreenWorks Pro 80V mower to begin doing the work myself. The power of the 80v motor to drive the self propelled motor and the cutting blade in thick Florida grass is amazing. I loved it so much, I bought one as a house warming gift for my son at his new house. He easily cuts 1 acre with the 2 batteries included in that kit purchase.
