I purchased a Green works 21" Cordless, Brushless 80 Volt Self Propelled Lawn Mower 3 weeks ago. It is GREAT. This electric lawn mower is actually fun to use. I can mow the front and back yards and only use 2/3 of the battery. Recharging is really nice as it only takes approximately 45 minutes for a complete recharge. It is easy to use and clean.
I bought this a month ago and I've only mowed once but wow! It does everything my old Toro did, the battery lasted more than 1 hour. It recharges really fast. Only negatives are the release on the mower to remove the battery is really stiff. I already split a nail. The mulcher doesn't seem to do well with leaves but it may be a height issue. I need to play around with that some more but again, wow!
I've run this for about two months. I charge it from my solar panels. It varies how long it runs but it allows me to mow my whole yard, which is more barely tamed field than grass. When the going gets tough it ramps up the power. It runs quiet enough I don't need ear plugs that i would use with my other power equipment. I like it, solid quality, battery has been charging reliably, the self-propel assist is very nice, plenty of variable speed. I'm picky, but I like this alot.
My husband & I are both retired but still mow our own yard, etc. We had previously bought a Green Works leaf blower, then a Green Works snowblower & liked both. Our old lawnmower was dying so we got a Green Works self-propelled mower. We LOVE IT! It is so easy to use, no gas/oil, etc. lightweight & easy to maneuver and does a great job of cutting the grass. Doing the lawn seems so much easier now!
I had researched a lot of the cordless battery lawn mowers and decided on Greenworks. I waited for the self propelled 80 volt model to be available and have had it now for one month. Assembly was quick and easy. My wife and I share lawn mowing duties depending on our schedules and she always had issues with the pull cord on our gas mower, often having to plug it in for an electric start. The Greenworks is an easy push button start. Adjusting the cutting height was a simple to use lever and the handle height was also easy to adjust. It's significantly quieter than our gas mover with no gas fumes. Our lot is 50 x 200 with a Cape cod sitting on it and the battery does our whole lawn with plenty to spare. The lawn also looks great! Overall we're very pleased.
I wanted a mower that was reliable and that if service was warranted it could be done locally. After reading the reviews and on a recommendation of a local dealer that would be starting to sell Greenworks I purchased this mower. I have used it once and it has exceeded my expectations. I cut a newly seeded 1/3 acre lot of thick weed stalks and it did a superb job with only one recharge. I am very happy with my decision on purchasing this mower.
The thing can be an animal. It's capable of dragging you behind it the battery lasted for an hour with only one bar used! The purchase was the correct one for my lawn. I used it as a mulcher will use the bag next time and see the result.
We live in the mountains with a hillside in our backyard. Our first mower did a fine job on flat terrain, but I had to push it up the hill. We searched for a high quality, self-propelled mower and decided on Greenworks 80-volt. It has all the features we were looking for. Now it mows the hillside with ease, as I am able to hold the controls with one hand and walk comfortably along behind. It is now a "piece of cake" to mow! No sweat, literally.
