Bought my model MO 80L00 a month ago, and have mowed the lawn 3 times now. Works great, perfect cut, very easy to use and maneuver around the yard. I used the grass catcher the last time, and it was easy to use, unload and reattach. Battery life is enough to finish my .20 acre, which is all I would want to to use a walking lawnmower for. I definitely like that I don't have to worry about gas, oil or a sparkplug! I do plan to look for other Greenworks products down the road!
This mower lasts just as long as the non self-propelled mower from my experience, which is amazing! I have a fairly large lawn (over 1/3 of an acre) and I can mow my whole lawn with just 2 batteries and in pretty quick time. I like that it's quiet! Mowing the lawn is much more enjoyable. I like the adjustable speed settings, although I wish it was a tad faster on the high setting. It cuts really well, haven't noticed any clippings left behind and my lawn looks amazing after it gets mowed. You can't beat the look of the lines you get with this mower.
To prepare for my retiring, we decided to cut expenses and buy a lawn mower. This 80V cordless mower turned to be a perfect purchase. It saved enough in one summer to pay for itself and the battery, which was nice, but the other benefits became obvious through that summer. It is light, so getting out and mowing is not a laborious activity, and it is quiet, so my ears aren't worn out. When you let go of the power lever, the motor shuts off, making it silent and conserves the battery. It doesn't emit fumes or require filling, transporting, and storing a gas can. There are many fewer mechanical parts to maintain and divine reasons for it not working. The 5Ah battery does my front and back yards (100' by 50' each). It probably would last longer, by I charge the battery immediately after use so that the degree of discharge is minimized, making the battery have a longer life overall. Its easy to clean: just take the battery out and powerwash its undercarriage. There is one simple and easy height adjustment lever. The cruise control is nice to have for thicker patches, but I rarely use it since it uses more of the battery. It is powerful enough to plow through thick and tall grass, and if it senses that it needs more power, it automatically delivers it for as long as it needs to. I will have to wait to see how long the batteries last. They are expensive (as are competing companies' batteries) and it would be a shame if they didn't last long. If that's the case, Greenworks could follow the lead of those companies that provide a corded adapter that plugs into the battery slot. In any case, at the time of this writing, I am thrilled with this mower and the company in general.
