The 80V, 26 inch brushless hedge trimmer does a nice job, though overall it is not the quality of other Greenworks tools. The biggest issue is that almost each time you stop trimming and try to resume, the jam indicator is on. The tool does come with an anti jam button and typically after 1 or 2 uses of the button it unjams itself. It is annoying however to have to persistently unjam the device. The power does seem a little weak compared to other hedge trimmers though it is nice not to have a cord attached. The weight is fine and well balanced. The protector cover that comes with the trimmer to use when the device is stored does seem cheap and flimsy for the cost when compared with what other companies supply.
I would recommend this to a friend!

miserable, a waste of money

I have finally overcome my sloth to write this review.
I had such hopes and waited for this trimmer to come back into inventory. It has never operated for more than three seconds at a time, shuts off the moment it turns on. The battery is fully charged, at least it says so, and there is no jam or other identifiable problem. It just stops. For many Greenworks products, the negative reviews of Greenworks products center on some failure or other of the electrical system. One would think some quality control function might fix the problem, but No, or as Mrs Thatcher would say, "NO... NO... NO".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This pole trimmer has decent reach and is very powerful and quiet. I would highly recommend it if you have tall hedges. Works well on short ones too. Cordless is way better than corded!

When I purchased the hedge trimmer I got what I expected plus a little more. Since I own one of the lawn mowers I knew that the trimmer was going to have all the power I hoped for. It did! I also expected that it might be a bit heavy. I am 75 and in good shape but I thought the battery and the long high quality blade might be a bit much. I found that it was considerably heavier than my old small electric trimmer. BUT it is well balanced, easy to handle and cuts beautifully. The battery seems to last forever. It outlasts my needs with most of its charge still there. My bushes have never looked so good.
The fact that I may break the job into 2 or 3 pieces is totally offset by the ability to do the job 2 to 3 times faster than with my old trimmer.
