A month ago, I bought a 60V- 25" lawn mower that I absolutely love. Last week, I purchased 2 hedge trimmers. An 80V-2.0AH- 20" Pole Hedge Trimmer and an 80V- 2.0AH 26" Hedge Trimmer.
10 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and the gasoline powered lawn mower and hedge trimmers I have, are way too difficult to start and heavy to use.
Both these Hedge trimmers are about half the weight of gasoline ones.The lawn mower does a great job whether you're mulching or bagging. the grass.
I highly recommend Greenworks for their Battery Powered tools.The Pole Hedge Trimmer is longer than my gasoline one and it's a joy to get started in an instant and be on my way. Great that they're much quieter than gasoline tools. I'm new to Battery powered yard tools, and Greenworks makes a first class product.

Broken charger

Buyers beware: I bought this trimmer 4 years ago and used it 4 times. Today, I made an attempt to use it and noticed that the battery was low. I plugged the charger to the wall and heard a pop. The charger was dead. My first guess was there was something wrong with the electrical outlet so I plugged other chargers that I own for other batteries and they worked so the issue was this charger. I called customer support and was informed that the warranty is only 2 years which I think is ridiculous. So keep that in mind if you are looking to buy this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great tool.

This is my fifth 80v Grreenworks outdoor tool and in all probability will not be my last. I own a chain saw, string trimmer, pole saw, blower and now the hedge trimmer. The trimmer is well balanced causing less fatigue during use the swivel head is an outstanding feature again providing the user a more comfortable experience. I'm an active 78 year old retired engineer and enjoy using battery operated tools to maintain my property. I'm thinking riding lawn tractor next!

I do volunteer work for the US Forest Service and I purchased one of these for Trail Maintenance. Was hopeful that it would do what I wanted it to do.
We put the 4 hr battery in this machine and went to work. We worked for hours (6 during the day, but not all with the machine running) cutting through some pretty large stuff (bushes, trees, etc) and this machine did it! I would say we worked the machine for 3-4 hours of the 6 and when we were done the battery was done, but it held until the end. If you are going to use like we did, I highly recommend keeping the bar oiled. We used some chainsaw bar oil on it every few hours and it kept this machine working efficiently.
VERY impressed with this machine. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a workhorse.
The only negative I can say about this machine is that if you load a big battery and you work all day, it will get heavy towards the end of the day, especially if you are working over your head.
Pros: Easy to Use, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful
