[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE Greenworks products!!! I have the lawn mower, blower, and an impact wrench! I have hedges that are 8ft tall - with this tool, I will tackle the project in an hour! I decided to purchase this one because of the 80V battery that will get me almost an hour's worth of charge! I will continue to refer my friends and family to Greenworks!

Make the pole length extension easily variable.

The way this unit extends is not optimal. It's all the way or not. My other CORDED trimmers simply loosen the turn on the pole, extend it to whatever length you want, then tighten the turn. It's long when and short when you want, easy peasy. Passing on this unit because of that deficiency. Really wanted the convenience of cordless....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After purchasing our first home, I spent around $7k on different battery tools, including this 26" pro level hedge trimmer. This cuts hedges like butter and can be used for branches as thick as 1 inch. With a single 2 Ah battery fully charged you can expect the trimmer to run up to 45 minutes but that may vary based on your use case - overall, happy the few times I used it -- a must have for household DIYers w/o doubt.
