[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from the 60V 21" Greenworks push mower. This 80V has just as goog of run time with the added Turbo feature. My leaves won't stand a chance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this mower in May and finally used it last week. I will list the positives and the negatives.
POSITIVES
..Light and easy to use
..Fast charger is amazing. Charged my 4 A and 2 A batteries in a couple of hours
..Does a good job cutting the grass as long as it is dry and not too tall
..Don't have to run to the gas station
..Don't have to service my mower
..Easy to store on its side and takes up very little space
..Has an LED headlight
NEGATIVES
..Batteries don't last as long as advertised. Using self-propelled mode, I was able to cut about a 1/3 acre on one charge using both batteries. This is not tragic as charge is fast.
..The mower is not powerful enough to shoot gras out as you are cutting. Instead, it leaves clumps of grass every few feet. Annoying.
..The left side battery has a tendency to get jarred out of position causing you to stop and reseat it.
All-in all I am very pleased with this mower. It does the job, is light-weight and is easy to use. It remains to be seen how this mower will last in the long run. I have about 30,000 sq. ft. and I can finish cutting the grass on the second charge so not too bad.

Small yard wonder!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great electric mower for a smaller yard. We have 0.27 acres and it is just right for that. Enough power to get the job done. Noise level is so much better than a gas mower. Solid value for the price.

Self-Propel stopped working
on July 14, 2025
Posted by: Aud04
I bought this nearly exactly 3 years ago and take impeccable care of it. The Self-Propel stopped working today. Without this feature it renders the lawnmower almost unusable on a yard that has incline and for someone lacking in strength to push through it I would think the life a lawnmower would be greater than 3 years. Very Disappointed as it was not an inexpensive mower.

Hello Aud04.
We are sorry to hear about your recent experience with us. It is unfortunate that this process has made you lose confidence in us. We, at Greenworks like any other brand, have a warranty procedure we must adhere to for warranty claims and their timelines. Greenworks 80V line is backed by a 4-year tool limited & 4-year battery warranty which is more than double industry standard & Renewed: 90-day tool limited warranty; 90-day battery limited warranty. This means you have got a little protection on your investment. It also makes a statement on how much Greenworks stands behind their products. Although you are past the warranty period, one of our Authorized Service Dealers may still be able to help with troubleshooting. To find a dealer in your area, visit (https://www.greenworkstools.com/pages/authorized-service-center-locator). Simply enter your zip code, and the nearest service center. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to mow but could never start a gas powered one. This battery mower not only solves that issue but it is light weight and has more power than I ever thought it would. Awesome mower.

Cannot Handle Any Amount of Wet Grass.
on July 11, 2025
Posted by: Chase206
I’ve never hated a purchase more. If you live where the dew stays on for awhile, or is a more wet, humid climate in general, do not purchase this. The mower cannot handle it. The wet grass gets gunked up and blade shuts off every few feet. And due to it constantly shutting off and needing to be restarted, the battery depletes extremely quickly. Should have returned it forever ago.

Hello Chase206,

We acknowledge your disappointment with the mower's performance. We understand that it did not meet your expectations. As our lawn mowers are electric, it is advised to not use them in damp/wet locations or if it is raining. Wet grass is inherently more challenging for any mower due to its increased weight and resistance to cutting. Wet grass is heavier and more difficult to cut, which can cause the mower to struggle.
Mowing wet grass can negatively impact the quality of the cut, potentially leading to unevenness and clumping of clippings.
What to do instead.
Wait for the grass to dry, if possible, wait until the dew or rain has passed and the grass is dry to the touch before mowing.
Raise the cutting height, if you must mow wet grass, raise the mowers' cutting height to minimize the amount of grass being cut at once.
Clean the mower thoroughly, after mowing wet grass, be sure to clean the mower deck and blades to prevent rust and corrosion.
We hope you will find this information useful. If you need any further support, our team is available to assist you. You can connect with us through Live Chat on our website at www.greenworkstools.com, or by phone at 1-888-909-6757.
