Better than gas mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my mower for over a year and recommend it to everyone that asks. I have a huge yard and the battery lasts the whole time. The motor revs up automatically when you encounter thicker or higher grass (doesn’t both down like other mowers). Makes mowing quick and easy with no gas and oil checks.

Only thing batter life can be better or we need to a secondary batter if you are planning to work continuedly for few hrs on your lawn. I usually take a break after 45 mins so it is working out ok so far for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With one cut behind me there are some pleasant surprises and only one quirk. Battery lasted longer that I thought it would. Next try I'll be doing the front yard and then topping off battery and finishing of the back to cut down charge time while motivated. Ratcheting mechanism for the drive had me confused for a sec till I learned to pull it out of drive a little earlier than I'm used to (the quirk.) Starting powered forward had me pleasantly surprised as it didn't just take off like the Honda did. Giving me that half step needed to keep up and not instantly try and keep up. Pace of the mower was spot on. Great value so far.

Bad rebuilt battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mower works great with decent power. Started using mower a few months after we bought it and unfortunately the rebuilt 4.0Ah battery lasted two charges and fails to charge. Ironically the smaller 2.0Ah battery still works fine.

Hello Tom R. Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about the experience you had with the 80V 4Ah battery. Greenworks, renewed 80V battery is backed by a a 90-day warranty. The battery life span will be determined by storage and care which is located inside the owner’s manual. When the battery is not in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery at full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive most of the battery life.
