Great upgrade from gas mower
on May 30, 2024
Posted by: timmwood
This was a great upgrade from gas mowers! No more struggles to start a mower. It doesn't break down in the middle of mowing season. My gas mowers would inevitably break down in the middle of mowing season and the wait time for a repair was three weeks. For that reason, I had two mowers. The savings in repair costs has more than made up the difference in price between this mower and a comparable gas mower. My one criticism is the side grass discharge chute. I'd rather not use the bag, so I used the chute. That required installing the plastic cover. Without it, the chute is closed and no cut grass will be ejected while mowing. If the chute cover is bumped against something, it is likely to pop off. This makes it more difficult to mow in tight spaces. I've given up on using the chute and now use the bag. I wish there were a way to open the side chute without installing the plastic cover.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my 1st battery powered mower and I could not be happier, it is much lighter than gas mowers, quieter and no noxious fumes. I recommended it to all my neighbors.

Chews through 20 inch grass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took a few passes at times, but the mower chewed through 20 inch grass (side discharge). Not bad for a battery mower!

Assembling Handle A Bit Trickey
on June 24, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After unloading from the box, I started to assemble the handle but couldn't because of the rubber "gasket" around the handle with the power cables. I finally pulled the rubber gasket out and the handle fit into the hole with no problem. Why the rubber gasket was in the handle to begin with?
I have used the mower to catch the grass and also to mulch the desert marigolds and spread the seeds. All went according to the instructions and I am happy with the result. I particularly liked the headlamps as I often cut my grass at night after the sun goes down.(Daytime temps around 109F to 115F)
I have charged both the 40 Ah and the 20 Ah batteries and that has worked fine.

a bit like mowing the lawn with your vacuum cleaner...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] if you can stand the relative quiet compared to your gas-powered mower, you'll enjoy breathing the fresh air instead of choking on the belching exhaust while you walk across your yard. I'm not quite draining the 2.0 Ah battery to do my residential yard, so the 4.0 battery is almost a spare for now. I don't use the driving wheels on this uneven lot because it's that much lighter than the gas mower. the handle makes a sharp clanking rattle when the mower's driven over rough or lumpy turf: that might bother some, but probably not if you're wearing ear buds or headphones ;)

Great self Propelled mower with 2 batteries
on June 28, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower, and it is great. It has a 4.0 ah, and a 2.0 ah batteries. It transfers from one battery to the other automatically. I do mulch with the mower, and I do not use the bagger. I do have it if I need it.
Simple to setup.
No more gas or changing oil.
Easy adjustment of the height of the blades.
You can fold the mower to take up less space in the garage.
Self propelled is nice.
