Water and foam are coming out of the vent. How can I fix this? Has anyone encountered it?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a Christmas gift to ME. I'm happy so far. However I think it is too early to leave and review. The scale is very sensitive I've had some touch & go moments with it. Time will tell the longevity of this cooker.
All I want out of my rice cooker is for it to cook rice, and it can’t seem to cook it correctly. The rice comes out undercooked and dry.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a Christmas gift to myself in order to start eating more grains. I like the step by step process it takes me through, and the resulting products - whether rice, farro, bulgur, etc. My only exception is that, in spite of my rinsing everything before I put it in the cooker, I still have splattering on top as the cooker is working.
