I have super curly and thick hair, and this flat iron straightened my hair with ease! I love that it has 9 heating options to help with whatever occasion. I also really appreciate that it didn't leave my hair dry after use. I received this as a gift from T3 but these are my honest opinions.

I bought this flat iron after hearing a lot about it. One thing that made me hesitant in buying was the lack of a clearly marked temperature gauge or digital display. The hair texture mode is supposed to select this for you but you also have the option of selecting it manually. The fine hair texture setting is too low to straighten fine type 4 hair. This is why using hair texture isn’t enough. I do indeed have fine hair as many salons have pointed out. I had to use the manual setting and it’s just too complicated! There’s no way to know what temperature you’re using without the manual. I had this in blush, after using it twice I knew it wasn’t for me and returned it. Please make your products user friendly.

I had my Paul Mitchell straightener for over 10 years and only replaced it because the cord wore out.
That being said this is a great replacement; high quality, good hand feel, doesn’t pull my ultra fine hair. My only complaint is why are there so many settings?! I would love this even more if all it had was temp settings. It is easy enough to use and heats up great but I don’t feel like the “curl” or the “hair type” is useful for me since I am the only person using it.

This straightener does a great job, but it is very difficult to turn on and adjust the settings. Plus I thought it had a display with the actual heat setting number, but it does not. I had to watch a video to see how to adjust the settings, but still feel it is running too hot. Plus it leads you to believe that it will read your hair type and set the correct heat setting, but this does not work as described either.
This would not be one that I would buy again and I have owned multiple brands in the past.
