Waited years for this (I’m 76), But so happy to finally have it. Arrived yesterday (a day early), and today it helped me make the famous Neiman Marcus cookies.
These cookies are made from a very thick dough/batter, but my gorgeous new empire red Artisan made short work of getting everything mixed together.
I was amazed at how quiet the mixer is too. I think my puny little hand mixer makes more noise.
Can’t wait to make more cookies, and to try other recipes too.
What fun!

Pin keeps falling off

I loved this mixer and got 4 years use out of it. Having said that, I compare this unit that I have to all the other people that say they have had Kitchen Aid mixers for more than two decades and I refuse to believe that the pin has not been an issue....
In my neighborhood (all avid bakers), there are at least 4 users who have had the tilt head mixers who have all complained about the pin falling out while kneading dough and the whole unit falling down to the tile floor (in one case). I am not really sure why Kitchen Aid will not address this as a problem with their mixers... that is the only reason I hesitate giving my business to them again when I look for a replacement!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
