Christmas Wish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been on my counter for the past two months and I’ve made all the yummy things from butter to cookies to dough, shredding carrots, cabbages, cheese it has become one of my most used appliances. Still learning and challenging myself to new recipes each week to keep it active as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had the smaller sized bowl mixer and moved to the 5 quart. I just love this size! And, as always, I just love having a kitchen aide mixer! It makes baking so much easier! I am looking forward to trying the attachments!!

Very disappointed

I've had my KA for a year and a half. I use it once a month or so. I have loved it - and purchased multiple attachments including the 2 pastas attachments and the ice cream bowl. Suddenly, in the middle of making a bread dough, the head stopped spinning. Considering the price point of the KA and the expected quality, this is very upsetting. My KA is no longer functional after maybe 20 or so uses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Multiple uses more than just baking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plastic piece inside (under control spring)cracked while making bread. Can't turn it on at all. Can't believe I have to figure out how to fix it. Probably used less than 20 times. First time for bread. This cost way too much to break so easily.

My husband surprised me with a new one since I am cooking so much. I love this one as much as my first! It is the perfect mixer for kneading bread as well as making cookies. I love the design of the new pouring shield! The slicer/shredder is a new sleek design and works well.

Difficult to adjust height

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very disappointed, my wife and I were given this mixer as a Christmas present. I have been looking at these for some time however never bought due to the expense of them. We have used this twice once for a cake mix and the second for dough. The time spent with a spatula trying to ensure proper mixing I could have just done as good of a job with a wooden spoon and quicker. For the dollar amount paid for these they should be better manufactured to where no height adjustment is required. I do not feel that it scraped the bowl enough however I’m scared to adjust to much in fear of damaging either the bowl or tool I’m using. In my opinion very poor design for the amount of money spent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
