25 years ago I bought a white Kitchenaid stand mixer for my wife, and she loved it and used it regularly for 23 years. Then I bought her a new (as I thought) identical mixer except in black to match her new kitchen. We gave the old mixer to our daughter who absolutely loves it. The bad news is that the mixer we gave to our daughter is a better mixer after 25 years than the brand new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Christmas Gift 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second KitchenAid stand mixer, the first lasted over 20 years before my husband decided to update it. Just like the first one, I truly love this appliance and use it frequently. I only have one issue with it, the speed lever seems to have some 'catching' when I move from one position to another. It's not as smooth moving as the older model. Also the lever that locks the motor into position only moves to what looks like a half-way position. The motor is locked but I don't know why there seems to be room for the lever to move further forward than it does. Other than the 'lever issues', I'll always want KitchenAid for my stand mixer needs.

My flour would fly out of the bowl while adding, sugar also. Even on slow speed. Shield should be part of basic bundle. All other features work perfect.
