Very disappointed!

This device is junk. It doesn't always work when trying to make calls. When it does work it is difficult to hear. It doesn't hold a charge at all which makes the gps feature rather pointless. I returned the device because it's is junk especially for the price I paid. Very disappointed in the product.

Poor quality

I bought this watch for my 7 year old son. In 6 months he had 4 replacements because after a month the phone would stop charging. The watch has been at the service department more than on his wrist while I have been paying a monthly fee. I would not recommend this product at this time.

Works but could be better

I purchase this a year ago for my daughter. The watch band is awful. It's thick and uncomfortable on her wrist. She is very petite but the band is still too tight on her. We use it with the strap in the open position with the large extender on it. GPS isn't precise and doesn't update quickly. It only has basic functions but I can send her short texts and most of the time the phone calls are clear. The battery life is also terrible. Doesn't even last a full day when fully charged. Seems overpriced for what it offers. But with the limited selection of smart watches for kids it does what we need it to do.

Suitable to Keep In Touch With Young Children

I purchased the watch for my 5.5 year old. It is a big watch, but she does not seem to mind. It comes with attachments so you can adjust the size. The phone feature is suitable for its purpose. I can hear her fine when she calls me, but I have been on her end and the volume is a low and not adjustable. Not useful for long conversations. The battery life is about 1 school day. You can adjust the GPS feature so it does not update as frequently to extend the battery life. The GPS feature is not perfect as I get updates 30 minutes after the fact. It seems you can change this to update more frequently, but then the battery will not last a day. So you have to pick what is more important for you. My daughter loves the watch. I like that she can call me when she needs to without having a phone. The technology can improve (i.e. longer battery life, better GPS updates), but for us, it suits our purpose for her age and probably the next few years.

Device and app sucks.

I bought the device a couple months ago and it doesn't stay connected to the app. I'm not happy with the device. App doesn't work, doesn't stay up to date with the GPS location of the device.

Great kids phone

My daughter has been using this for 2-3 weeks & loves it. I really didn't want to give her a full fledged phone so was looking for something like this that doesn't require a full phone to "sync" with (like the Apple & FitBit models).
In short, the FiLIP is easy to use but I have shut off the automatic gps tracking to conserve battery.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Broken screen in first hour of wear!

Without exaggeration, my son broke the screen of his watch in his first hour wearing the Filip. The App was useful...good Idea. I think other carriers have a version of the Filip made by LG is a much better option.
