Sending it back!!

I got my 7 year old this watch a little less then a week ago. The gps tracking is terrible! The speaker volume is barely audible. It's so poorly executed. Such a great concept, but it doesent work. We live in a gated community in the Palm Beach area. My son has become more independent and likes to ride his bike to his friends house down the street. I was hoping I'd be able to track him or at least call him and tell him to come home. He can barely hear us when we call and the gps is unreliable. He had his watch on in our car and we left the "zone" I set up. I got a notification 30 minutes later. With all the technology in the marketplace this watch should not be this bad! And, the battery is pathetic!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Didn't even last a month

I bought the FiLIP 2 for my 7-year-old son and we were mostly happy with it for the first few weeks. Functionally, it is a good watch and performed as advertised. However, the watch face is made of glass, and one day my son came home with a large crack in the face. The watch was still functional, so I wasn't too concerned. However, about 2 weeks later, the watch would no longer charge. I called customer service and they said the cracked watch face was the reason it wouldn't charge. This made no sense to me, but it didn't matter since they wouldn't replace the watch. If you do buy this watch, make sure you buy insurance.

Really bad customer service.

Product is average at best. Battery life is poor. Customer service is terrible. Even though the package says tech support from 8am to 8 pm. When you call the recording says 10 am to 6 pm

Great for Us

We bought this for my son. He walked home one day instead of going to latchkey. This helps me to know where he is at all times. I wish the speaker was better, battery life was better or that he could text me back.. but for the most part the phone is very useful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent concept for kids

I bought this for 9 year old daughter and it has worked very well so far. Gives us a lot of peace of mind in leaving her for her classes and other places. Charging isn't that great, though

Make sure you get it returned within 14 days

I bought two(blue and green) for my 10 and 6 year olds. The green one wouldn't work in the store so they replaced it before I left the store. When I got home the green one would only intermittently charge. The GPS feature on it was also only intermittently correct. Other problems as well. The return policy only covers 14 days. So when yours doesn't work don't keep trying to get it to work and go past the 14 days, like I did. The blue one works but the notification doesn't make an audible alarm on my phone so I know if she leaves the area if i keep checking my phone.

Suits it's purpose

I bought this watch one month ago and find it to work great. The iOS app is easy to use. The GPS locator is fantastic. I can ask for an update to his location at any time and within a minute I know where he is. The battery lasts about one full school day, or about 10 hours. I have had NO problem with calling and being able to hear him talk to me. Before giving this watch a bad review you need to remember: it's not a smart phone, it is a super powered watch. Of course the quality isn't as good as an expensive iPhone, but for being able to contact your child and find their location this is ideal. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I wish he could text me, but for right now at least I have the ability to text him. For the price I am extremely happy with my purchase.
