Perfect for kids

After losing several cheap phones to the laundry and pool, I invested in the Filip 2. I'm hopeful that he will wear it rather than put it in his pocket. I love the GPS tracking feature so I can see his whereabouts when he isn't with me via the app. I love the features this device has..and love that he has no access to the Internet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor quality

I bought the watch last Christmas from my youngest son. At the time I thought it was a great concept. The problem is the quality of the product. Two month later the watch does charge. The company sends me a placement and two months later, the same problem again!!!
The concept is still great but the product is deplorable. And to make matters worse, the spare parts or accessories cost half the price of the Watch!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor execution and customer service from Filip

I bought this product 8 months ago, it worked poorly at first and then not at all. I've been waiting 7 months for a replacement. I've have called Filip numerous time with no luck.

Great concept, poor design

I was really excited to get this device for my son, right before a trip to Las Vegas last fall. We've had it a year and hardly use it. The battery life is only about 10 hours. The GPS is not very accurate and it falls off easily. Flip gave you the option to purchase the upgraded band, which I did. The new band makes the device very constrictive. I think if the band wasn't so thick and bulky it would be more comfortable. My son hates to wear it now. I hope the bugs get worked out with this device because it really is a great concept.

Waste of Money

I thought this product would be great. All of the features are perfect for a child. The battery doesn't even stay charged long enough for my son to get to where he is going! I even had to get a replacement on my insurance. This is honestly a waste of money. It really just stays at home due to the lack of battery power!! And the app is ALWAYS freezing and messing up!

Just plain terrible!

I brought one for my nephew last Christmas. Within 2 months, the battery fails to charge and the emergency system goes off prematurely. Good concept just poor design and quality!!!

Great device, just very poor volume

We bought this for my 4 year old since he would be switching buses after school. He loves it, especially being able to call his 2 grandmothers.
My only complaint is that the call audio is VERY quiet. I have to hold it to my ear with no background noise to hear. This could be a faulty device, I don't know. But it's BAD.
Also, it's fragile. My 1 year old took it and dropped it on pavement while being held. Screen shattered. Our own fault and it still works but just be advised it's not 100% kid proof.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most of the time I call, it either goes to a voicemail or there's an interruption. my daughter can never call me bc she says there was no service. she's only 7 so she's not lying about it.. battery dies quickly and yes volume is really really low! I'm hoping there's some type of a software update.
