love this printer it performs well and dose what i need it to do the pictures i print from it are awsome ths is the third epson printer i have owed i jest bought an Artisan835 for my daughter she says its awsome for the monie you cant go wroung the double sided printing is cool .

Over the past 8 years I have owned several Epson printers. Every time I buy a new one they just get better and the 835 is no exception. The main reason that I buy Epson is for DVD printing. My first R300 was wonderful because it replaced the stick-on labels. So every few years now I buy a new printer to get the improvements and the 835 is the best yet. The print quality is excellent and it is fast. My wife likes my new printer so much that I am going to buy her one. This is a great printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A bit too much work!

I purchased the Artisan 835 to replace a printer that kept getting paper jams. The installation took FOREVER--I've never had one take sooooo long, but it was not difficult. I was in the middle of a project with my previous printer jamming away, so I immediately put the new printer to work with some correction prints from the previous printer's problem pages, for which I was using cardstock. It did a great job and I was very impressed with the quality of the printing. I switched back to regular paper for the next print job and guess what--paper jams!!! I consider myself very computer-literate so I thought I would be able to come up with the problem pretty easily. Not so. I looked and looked and looked and looked after checking my user manual and finding a few more places I could check. At least an hour later I finally spotted what I thought was the problem, way in the back recesses of the printer, but couldn't reach it. After locating a long needle-nose gadget I lifted out a small corner of what looked to be the back of a peel and stick label--that strange waxed type of paper. WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!??? Now I am printing like a champ with regular paper. Apparently the cardstock being heavier was able to get past it. Since I had only used about 10 sheets of paper thus far this had to be something that got caught during the manufacturing process. A less knowledgeable person would never have been able to get past this in my opinion. Hopefully this is an exception to what I expected to be Excellent Epson product manufacturing. I hope it stays on track now.

I have owned many copiers in my time, but the Epson 835 appears to be the best. It does everything they say about it. It is sleek and looks like a new Cadillac.
As for now, I would recommend it to every one. I am looking forward to, and hoping for many years of good service from it.

Epson Artisan 835 All in one printer

I like this printer as it is an all in one, scans, fax, prints and photos. The only drawback is that it does not store the fax numbers for individuals I fax on a regular basis. I like the color, the crispness, etc. No problems so far and that's good.

I purchased this item and it was better than I thought possible, what interested me the most was the abilitry to write picfture to disc when I record DVD of sermons at my church.

I really haven't had the opportunity to put it through it's paces yet. I feel that it will be a great asset based on the other Epson products that I have owned. I just don't have enough time to "play" with the machine. Written manual could be more complete, ie: no indication of which side up on the photo paper, I had to call.

Just finished setting up and doing some test prints. Wireless setup was a breeze. Printing is fast and beautiful. My first Epson and if this performance continues it will definitly not be my last.
