Artisan 835 is an excellent printer

My new Artisan 835 is an awesome printer. My professional DVD printer broke down and the 835 came to my rescue. I saw a previous post to go to Epson.com and get printer drivers if you have 64 bit Windows 7. I downloaded the combo package for the drivers and the printer was up and going in no time. I then used the software CD to load the rest of the software. Print quality on DVD's and paper is the best I have ever experienced. I would definitely recommend this printer.

Super easy setup

I got this model because I wanted to be able to print on DVDs and it seems Epson are the only guys around that do this. I was however limited to this model or the 725 for that feature and took this one as they were priced about the same
even though the 835 has more features [that I will probably never use].
While I have not yet done any photos or sophisticated printing it does appear to do a great job on the print side and the drivers are easy to use and stable.
What really impressed me was the ease of setup for wireless. As someone who often has to setup routers, repeaters and general network horrors this was so easy and slick that it was almost dissappointing as I didnt need any of my hard earned wireless setup tricks. So great job there Epson.
Only whine I would have is that neither the printed manual or setup guide mentioned DVD printing or how to do it. At first I thought I bought the wrong printer but did then find the button to eject the special tray so all was good.

one word PERFECT

I bought two different wireless models and needed support from the other company 1st time 3hrs, 2nd time 5hrs......so i returned them and bought this model from epson...it took about 1.5 hrs all by myself works perfect no help needed love it

Best All In One Ever

I've had several printer models and other All In One models. The Artisan 835 is the best quality in all features I have ever seen. It was extremely user friendly in the setup and wireless connectivity. I am excited about the quality of the photos, the different sizes I can produce and the enhancement options. It was the only All In One that scanned to PDF format for the price, something I need in my work at home. I am very please with the quality of the product.

first off I like the epson printers for years.
this is my second one.. they are easy to hook up and the results of printing are great. pictures come out fantastic. just like you had them done professonally. scanning is simple too.. I just love my epson and the only thing I have a problem with is the printing of envelopes,, haven't mastered that yet.. but other then that it is great.

Perhaps the use of this device will tempt me to reconsider my comments, but I have just spent several hours in frustration in the installation process. The paper tray is flimsy and difficult to insert. Paper tends to shift position in this process, causing error messages and preventing printing. I never did get the fax feature to install. Instructions seem contradictory and are not user friendly.
I am disappointed, but hopeful of finding redeeming qualities with time. Caveat emptor!

Epson Artisan 835

Excellent product. Setup to wireless network has never been easier. We currently own an Epson Aritsan 810 for years, but have worn it out and it won't pull heavy weight photo paper through the tracks anymore. We will be using the 835 specifically for the photo business...the quality of the photos are remarkable.
