Just set up the new Artisan 835 and networked with 3 computers in my house. Easy to setup and the print speed and quality are great. The scanning resolution is much better than my previous Epson CX6600. I am interested to see how much difference there is in price using 6 ink cartridges in stead of just 4.

Right out of the box, this printer was very easy to set up for wireless printing over my home network! So far the printing is of very good quality. I like the dual purpose photo paper/plain paper tray! Well done!

My only complaint with this machine is no way to print small envelopes, ie; greeting cards, birthday cards. My wife uses Hallmark software for cards, and always printed the envelopes on our MP530, but your printer does not offer this option.

Artisan 835

Just bought the Epson Artisan 835. The printer was packed well and had very simple directions for nearly fail proof setup. It did take several minutes to set up but read the instructions carefully and you should be printing fairly quickly. The feature that lets you print on a cd/dvd captured my attention and it works great and looks great. If you need an all in one printer this one will get the job done nicely.

LOVE THIS PRINTER

I searched long and hard for a printer that prints directly onto dvd's and there are precious few. The Artisan 835 does that and so much more. This printer is amazing for the price. I have had this printer for almost a year now and I love that I can do all I need from one machine. The print quality is great, even for pictures, and the scanner is crystal clear. Only downside is the cost of the ink.

Epson 835

I really like this product, Prints great. The down side of this product is the flimsy and unyealdly paper tray. Makes it a little difficult to easily change paper. I would also recommend to Epson that they make the ADF able to handle photographs. It would be so much easier for me to scan photos into my computer. Having to place them on the glass a few at a time is very time consuming.

FINALLY A GREAT PRINTER!

I used to have an Epson Stylus 980c and it was the best printer I ever had, but 1 piece broke on it and it was unusable--I was heartbroken until now. This Artisan 835 was pretty expensive, but it is wireless and you get what you pay for! I print a lot of photos and I had an HP printer for a few months that sucked up so much ink that I had to change it every few days! This printer however, I immediately printed several full page color photos and have not run out of ink yet. The quality of the photos is fantastic, just like my old Epson printer. Epson rocks man! Love the extra photo tray, the sleek design where everything can be closed up when not in use, this way all the dust doesn't get inside. Also has plug-ins in the front for memory cards, etc., just wish it had a cover on it. Only thing I'm thinking is pretty flimsy is the pull out paper catch tray--it will probably break easily. This printer has 6 colors versus the regular 4 colors, so that's probably why the photos look so great. We'll see in the long run how it turns out, but I am happy right now. Check back in a few months...
