Love the product, took a while to set up b/c I'm running a MAC and the cd wasn't being read. Downloaded the software online and was printing in NO time. Also, downloaded the app for my iphone to print and it works amazing! So excited!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Although I just finished setting up my Artisan 835, I would say that the set-up was relatively easy, although it did take quite a bit of time. The quality of the finished printed page is awesome. I printed one photo to see the quality and it was far superior to other so-called photo printers and even photo processing shops. Would definitely recommend thois printer to others.

We wanted a wirerless printer and after looking at several we decided on the Epson. The installation was a breeze, and the printing quality is great. We couldn't be more pleased. Thanks EPSON!

The printer was not able to print quality photos out of the box. Took the printer and got a refund.

Lacks Precision

I'm quite disappointed. I place a thin black border or other colour matched borders around my photographs. But the print comes out with imprecise borders even though I checked "centre image." To even get a border, I have to send the image at 98.8 %. It took me hours and many test images to find the correct percentage. Then I had to de-select "centre image" and spent more time shifting the image left and down to get the print actually centred on the page. In addition, the print preview wasn't accurate. The best image on paper actually showed a thin white border on the top and right edges on print preview.
Another variable that I couldn't control was the sloppy paper tray. The guides are wobbly, the edge where the paper is being picked up is sloppy, the tray bounces when it is pushed in. The result is that the print comes out with a white border and often that isn't even either. I wish the paper tray and the edges were metal and more precisely designed and constructed. I had the same problem with the Picturemates I owned, although one saving grace was that I found the colour more vibrant and accurate. If anyone has suggestions for what I can do for better results I'd be grateful. I'd happily pay more for a precise 4 X 6 printer if I could avoid all this frustration!

Printer was set up by a well-versed printer/computer expert who had a few problems getting the wireless to
interact. The printing is superb. My photos are beautiful.
Don't know about the ink usage yet because I haven't had to change them. The machine is very quiet when it's printing.
