I am so weary of buying a product such as this Artisan 835 all in one printer and then have all kinds of issues using it with Windows 7 of all things. My time is valuable too and talking to someone in the Philippines for over and hour is disgusting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Printer

I had an Epson R300 for 7 years and just upgraded to the Atisan 830. So far, it's been a great machine. Setup was easy, and it prints from my laptop, Android and Ipod with no problems. I would recommend this printer to anyone who is on the go and needs a quick, efficient, easy access printer. A great buy!

Will only print one size envelope #10. The paper tray is flimsey and hard to adjust for different size paper. The print, scan and fax functions work OK. Setting up the wireless function was a real pain as the Quick Setup Guide does not go into much detail unless you are a computer expert. This unit might be fine for office use or a professional, but I would not recommend it for basic home use. I wish I had my old 930 back.

Decided to switch from a competitor to Epson because of many failures of those printers. The setup was easy and straightforward. The wireless feature picked up my WI FI right away. Being able to install the wireless software on other computers allows me to print from anywhere, on any device my router reaches. So far, so good. This could be a winner.

I have had three of these units and the last and the last one (835) has the best touch system, except the 0. It takes a different touch and several times to make it work.

This is my third Epson printer. I have the Stylus Photo R200, Stylus Photo RX620 now the Artisan 835 and love all three. The Artisan is an absolutely amazing printer; I installed our desk top and two laptops in no time. My wife loves WIFI capability. This means she can print all her documents while in the comfort of her couch. As for me I love the capability of the CD/DVD printing. The only item I feel could be improved is the durability of the paper tray, it seems a little flimsy. Besides that I am very satisfied with this product.
