Epson creates memories

My new Epson Artisan is an absolutely amazing printer, which took minutes to set up and moments to put into action. The print quality is fantastic and the colours are out of this world!
I created an amazing photo quality document for a social event with 10 of my closest friends and the printer made the document come to life.
Epson is not only a printer, but a memory maker.

One of the better CD/DVD printers on a budget

I've purchased several of these for home and bussiness use... coming from its predecessor models. It says what it does, and does what it says. Supports USB, Wired, and Wireless print modes, so that I can hide the printer in a closet or off of my desktop real estate, to the point of not requiring tangled wires.
A recent Microsoft Update threw a wrench on a current driver install, however, after researching on EPSONs site, they have created a newer set of drivers to address the issues, and I just validated it works. I have owned Epson 740, 750, RX500, several other Epson Artisan 7xx models, and this is a 3rd of the 800 models I've worked with.
My main goal with the product was for CD/DVD Printing in the wired and wireless environment. It does this quite well. The Epson PrintCD that comes with the software is OK, it does most of what you'll need for CD/DVD printing. I would recommend purchase of the better/professional CD printing software out there, however PRINTCD is free.

Artisian 835

Have had my new Artisian 835 just over a week but so far everything works like clockwork. I purchased the 835 primarly for the printing of DVD's and it is exceptional for this procedure. The photos are excellant and the network set-up was a breeze. I did use an ethernet hookup to the router, but all my other PC's have no problems with the printer.

Once you get used to it
on April 5, 2011

This is a very good printer, once you get used to it. I had trouble at first getting the right settings for various papers. It required some different settings, which I was not aware of, and ended up with surplus ink on the page that never dried. I thought I had a leak! Also, I was used to a printer where the paper cartridge was in the back of, rather than inside, the printer. To replenish the paper, you have to push in the paper receiving tray, pull out the paper tray, load it, push it back in, then pull out the receiving tray again. But once you're used to it, it is only a minor inconvenience. Also, if you happen to put in the paper face-up by mistake, you get a real mess. But, the photo print quality is unbelievable. My photos look even better than the ones from the photo processing at the store. I would recommend always using only Epson paper, and be sure to check in your book, or the instruction sheet in the package of paper, for the correct settings for the paper you are using. The names on the paper package are not necessarily the setting you should be using. For example, semi-gloss scrapbook paper must be set on "photo paper glossy" not semi-gloss.

Great Printer

I just received my printer was impress by the quality of the picture and even the CD/DVD Printing. There is so much to do with this printer that I decided that this could be the last machine that I would ever purchase again... with the exception that Epson would come out with a new and improve All-in-One. Even the WiFi is great. It is fast and the no down time for the picture to be printed. I am sold on that Epson for the number one printer for Home and Business use.
Thanks Epson

Good Value

Only had the 835 for a few days, and I'm quite pleased. Easy setup, smooth operation, nothing lacking. Only used to print and scan 8x11 paper so far.
Well thought out, even the way it was packed.
Scanning multiple pages, & ability to covert them to Word a big plus.
