Have been at the installation for two hours so far. Have only suceeded in running a test page. The install CD will not work with Win 7 and the driver must be downloaded. Takes an hour to download with cable.
I really hope things get better after I get some sleep.

Okay but not as great as I hoped

The paper feed tray is very difficult to use and feels flimsy. Also, when I first printed a photo the quality was horrible, even on the "best" setting. I went online and eventually found that I need to change the printer settings ON THE COMPUTER to de-select high-speed printing. The quality became much better.
This information should be made available upfront. I almost returned the printer before I finally found that. I will probably keep it now, but I have two more weeks to try it and who knows?

My EPSON Stylus Photo R200 finaly gave out after about 8 years of flawless service. I need a good quality photo printer, with CD/DVD printing capabilities. The 835 looked to be a natural replacement printer. I haven't tried the CD printing capabilities yet, but that will come soon enough and I will write another review for that.
Overall, very good inkjet photo printer.

Install said I had installed non-epson ink cartridges. Not true, I installed the cartridges that shipped with the printer.
Couldn't get the FAX module to install.

Epson's motto is "Exceed Your Vision," and this printer certainly has! I followed their "start-up" directions to the letter, and everything worked great! Easy and straightforward. Now I want one for my home office!

Epson Artisan 835 All-in-One Printer

I have been very disappointed in this printer, often it will not feed properly, feeding 3 or 4 pages at a time causing paper jams and sometimes it will not adjust properly to the various paper media resulting in not printing at all. I just wish I had returned it when I could.

My 835 does a nice job of printing. The colors are brilliant and clear. The printer is fast.
The things that I would like to see changed are The paper tray doesn't handle envelopes easily The CD/DVD tray would be easier to load if it would extend out further. On several occasions I have not been able to wake up the printer without unplugging it,
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson Artisan 835 All-in-One Printer

Initially I was hesitant to replace my old Epson Stylus Photo RX600 all-in-one printer because it had served me flawlessly for over six years. But, I can say without reservation that I'm thoroughly impressed with my new Artisan 835 model. Setup and installation of the printer and the wireless feature was a breeze. I wasn't sure if I would like the touch screen feature, but believe me it is awesome to use. The extra photo paper tray is very handy too. In total, this Epson product is a keeper.
