Very good printer

I have an Epson PM 260 for pictures (it cannot print larger than a 4x6) and an Epson CX7800. Both are very good printers, but I wanted a printer that could do it all and was wireless. The Artisan 835 also comes with an OCR program which was very important to me. So far I have been able to print beautiful pictures with color accuracy, scan documents and edit them, print cards and do regular printing. The only thing this printer does not do is to scan photo negatives and slides for printing pictures. (I will keep my CX7800 for that.)
Although the wireless set up was easy, I had to call support for assistance getting my 3 different computers to recognize the printer. Customer support was very helpful and now I can print wirelessly from any of my computers.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I needed help getting my computers recognize the Artisan 835. Overall I am very pleased with this printer.

I am very unhappy with this printer. When I purchased it I was told that it was the best printer for photos which I use a lot. Its the worst photo printer I ever bought. All the pictures come out with lines going down the whole picture and the color quality is horrible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had the artisan 800 for awhile with no problems. I now have the 835 seems like a better quality print than the 800. Also i like the idea of printing directly onto the cd, dvd disk instead of a label. Hope you keep this available on future printers. Keep up the good work you are doing.

Easy to install. This is connected via USB to a Mac mini and wirelessly to a Mac air book and 3 Dell laptops. No issues at all with set up, I am amazed that both wired and wireless can co-exist. My 14yr old loves the coloring book option from a photo!

Installed on 2 computers. 1st install said it couldn't find Windowes Installer but everything runs fine. 2nd install, (laptop), said it couldn't install FAX. Ran install again and eveything works great. Wireless install was perfect. Great printing speed and quality. Extremely happy with the product.

My main concern with purchasing a new printer was the over-all quality of the photographs. I am a semi-professional photographer. The Artisan 835 All-in-One Printer has exceded my expectations. The quality of the prints is exceptional. I also do extensive research for travel which is the reason I rated this machine 4 rather than 5. There is no ability to do a black/gray tone only cartridge print from the internet. It bothers my frugal heart to waste colored ink on someone's logo/ads/etc.
