Super printer

I have owned 6 Epson printers and I love this one. Quality, speed and the ability to print on CD/DVD's is the best. I usually only use my small printers (Epson Artisan 835 & Epson Stylus NX400) for printing 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 prints, but this 835 does an excellent job up to an 8 x 10 enlargement. May change over to using it all the time. The quality is does on a CD is perfect, I used to send off and order my logo printed on CD's, but no more. Would recommend to anyone.

I print more than most ordinary people and have been very pleased with Epson products. The printer ink can be purchased on line at a cost that cannot be beat by shopping hours through so-called discount houses. Epson has excellent customer service, which is a high priority for me. I cannot stand to be treated as if a company doesn't care if I shop with them. I have always been treated as if I really am the most important customer Epson has whenever I have questions or concerns. That's Customer Service. They have good products and stand behind them.

I have had several Epson printers in the past, I love the print quality of this printer!! The only negative I have is the paper handling. This printer has a difficult time switching from standard 20# paper to thicker paper even though I select the Thick Paper option. The build quality of this printer is fair, the paper tray is difficult to use when changing paper sizes. I would be willing to pay more money for an increase in build quality but again the print quality is unmatched!!

EPSON Artesian 835

When the machine was working the product was good. My machine stopped peforming correctly within the warrenty period. Epson replaced the machine. However, the inkjet on the relacement machine brokedown seven months later. This pushed me outside the warrenty period per an Epson representative. A qualified Epson repair shop said the replacment part will cost me more than what the machine is worth. A machine of this type (EPSON, Artesin 835) that does not last 2 years or more is not worth owning.

I needed to use printer wirelessly. It was simple to set up following the directions. I have only used scan and print options so far. The only negative I see at this point is that the printer keeps telling me that I did not use genuine epson print cartridges, which I did. This is rather annoying because it keeps giving warnings stating that it cannot check ink cartridge levels because of that.

I am really impressed with this printer. Actually, I am a bit shocked at what a cool piece of hardware this is, especially given the relatively low price.
The setup and wireless networking was a snap and works flawlessly. The print quality is excellent. I love the fact that the printer goes to sleep, but wakes when any wireless computer starts a print job.
Yes, the paper tray (for receiving the printed paper) feels like it could break if I breathe too hard, but I'm hoping that it is just flexible as part of the engineering... sometimes it is better for things to flex than to snap off.
The smart interface is a joy. Small details such as having icons float into place, contextual buttons, well thought menu system, etc all show an attention to detail.
Even the setup wizard is well done. Everything made sense, the info in the wizard covered the steps properly, and I was never confused about what to do next.
The ONLY suggestion I would make regards the installation disc should have a Quick Install - Driver Only option. Once I installed the software on one of my computers (and set up the printer in the process), I just wanted to make my other machines see the printer. Even though I told the wizard that I had already set up the printer and just wanted to add the printer driver to my second computer, there were a few too many clicks, questions, and decisions that I was again asked, including a choice to register again. This is a small nitpick, and again is not too confusing, just a bit of spam clicking when installing on secondary computers that need to access the printer.
I have to say that I've been using Epson printers for years, and this is the best printer yet.

Good Purchase

I purchased the Epson 845 printer about a week a go. I love the printing speed and the 2 sided printing feature. Installation and set up was easy and it came with some nice software and other great features. I have noticed that when i print pictures they are not fully dry and you have to be careful not to get smudges on them and I expected the pictures to look better. I have printed less than 20 pictures and i have noticed a drop in the ink levels. I would recommend this printer to anyone who wants a good printer that is fast, does 2 sided printing and other fun printing task. If you are looking for a printer for just Photo printing I don't think this is the printer for you.
