After owning two older model Epson printers, I am disappointed in the Epson Artisan 835 that I purchased recently. There is no single sheet feeder, and loading a single sheet of a different type of paper in the paper tray involves collapsing the paper receiving tray (which is very flimsy), removing the blank paper tray, removing existing paper, setting the paper guides, loading the single sheet of different paper and then reversing the process to reload the normal paper. I was disappointed as well in some color copies I made where the printer did not duplicate the colors on the original sheet. Dark blue was turned to turquoise, etc. I was hoping to get a better photo resolution than my Epson Stylus CX 8400, but that didn't happen.

The Artisan 835 all-in-one is a very nice printer, great quality photos (and they print so fast!), easy setup (wireless to 4 computers!). It does go through ink, but that's part of the cost of excellent photos. (And supposedly the first cartridge goes faster due to initially charging up the jets). For not so critical document printing I just use Draft to save on ink. Love the 2-sided printing feature.

I have not had this printer very long so I have not had a chance to give it a full workout. Out of the box was a quick and easy setup. Only thing not included was USB cable which in today's world Epson assumes most people use wireless.
This printer is much easier to use with the touch screen panel than either my R320 or RX680. Setup function is simple and well displayed. Printing documents is much quicker than the R320 and slightly faster than the RX680. Printing photos is a snap, the familiar PC menu is easy to use and has a number of great features. Print speed is exceptional and quality is outstanding.
The only complaint thus far is a somewhat flimsy paper output tray.
I am quite please with the purchase of the 835.

I give this review a 4 only because I have yet to really use this 4-1 printer. The ease of setup was really a breeze follow the start here guide and you cannot go wrong. we have a home office so the printer will get lots of use with ocassional faxes.Purchased the high capacity ink ,which is cheaper then the other brands.

Very easy to install on a wireless network with Windows. Somewhat disappointed in the photo printing quality...the color isn't even close. Attempted to look for a troubleshooting guide in the printed material enclosed with the printer and no such documentation exists. Will reserve further comments until I have the time to read the online manual.

Artisan 835 -Please take it from me after exhaustive reasearch, hands on at multiple box stores, comparing specs to the competition and reading way too many online reviews, my decision was finally firm, and purchase was made. -Set up for home office on two laptops and one desktop from box to completion took less than 45 minutes. Works flawlessly, very user friendly, pleasing aesthetics, and serves all of our purposes. Test prints for photos, spreadsheets and basic print jobs were all impressive. -Take advantage of all of the included software, so far I have been very impressed versus previous companies offerings, and the only negatives I had read from other reviews seemed to all be answered with included software. If there is one negative, I would prefer a more substantial feeling and a more solid designed paper tray. -If you are looking for a true all in one that will also print professional photos this is the printer of choice.

This was the easiest set-up of any printer I have ever owned! I opted for the wireless set-up and so far so good.
