The installation was fairly easy and telephone tech was most helpful. We print out 8 x 10 photos and the first one we did was super in terms of color and sharpness. We have used Epson all-in-ones for many years, but the 835 is the best yet, a real winner.

The printer all in all is great. We are a Mac / PC family and the software for the Mac side is a little blah and I could not get the fax function to work properly. iphone users be aware that you need epson's app to print to your printer. For some reason the Artisan 835 does not show up as a wireless printer in the built in os for ipad and iphone.
Otherwise print quality is great.
Hope to have fixes for the Apple side later down the road.

This is my third printer and pobably the best of the three. Very easy to setup no problems. The directions are really easy to follow. Has been every thing I wanted in a printer. This is one of the Epson models that have the print directly on ac/dvd disc. One of the main reasons I bought this model Epson. The downside of this printer is that the Quick Guide you receive with the printer does not include information on setup of the print-on- dics. Although I did find this information on the Epson website. Am having trouble aligning the print on disk. I have tried alignment privided in the printer program but no luck so far.

Overall it works well and prints excellent pictures BUT. One of the reasons I bought the 835 instead of another model was that my camera's memory stick(Pro Duo) was in the long list of of supported memory cards. I was VERY disappointed when the memory stick would not fit in either of the printer's TWO slots.

I replaced another Epson with this model. I swore I'd never get an all-in-one but I was at the point where I needed a scanner, too. The scanner is better than my old professional scanner and the document feeder is a thing of beauty that I never knew I needed...until now. I've been hooked on Claria inks since they came out so I already expected pretty good print quality. What I didn't expect was the print speed that the Artisan brings to bear. Compared to my dye-sub 4x6 printer, this thing is greased lightening (and the per-print cost is less). I'd highly recommend this machine.

Was easy to get started. Print is good quality. Pictures are great so far. I wish it printed more than pictures from my I-Pad. Works with everthing from PC.

I am a very new user so my review is quite limited. I was able to install very easily and for a senior citizen that is key..now to learn all the many facets of it. Contact me in a few months for a more detailed review.
