Great little machine with easy set up

Just like other reviews, setting up this machine was a breeze. Including initial setup of Epson and installation of software on 4 wireless laptops and one wired desktop, I had 2 hours of time investment. The big time eater was the fact that each computer needed to download a 12 MB update. It was a joy to hear the printer kick in each time I clicked "Print Test Page". The print quality is very good for this machine also. I am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it.

I've only had it a few days, but so far it is great. I set it up completely wireless and it was very easy. Love the big screen because my printer sets on a desk that is not right next to my computer so i can easily see what it says. I've already sent a fax and that was easy, also. It prints great pictures, too!

The Epson sales rep at our local electronics store recommended the Artisan 835 as my wife and I are so busy and wanted the ability to print high-quality pictures at home, along with all the other things a family needs a printer to be able to handle. We are very impressed with the ease of use and the quality of the prints are just amazing! We have much to learn about the potential of this printer but we couldn't be more satisfied.

No drivers

I'm not sure I can give a thumbs up or down yet on this product. I have had the printer for about a week now and I cannot yet print from my computer. There was software provided with the printer but apparently it did not include the printer driver. There were instructions included that directed me to go the the Epson website and download the latest drivers. I have been unable to complete that task. The process keeps timing out. I am quite frustrated at this point and don't understand why the printer driver was not indluded with the device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Printer

Best printer ever!!! I have only one suggestion: For those of us who use smartphones, it would be great if Epson would create an app that would allow you to print documents as well instead of just photos wirelessly. I have the iPhone 4 and the downloaded app from Epson is for pics ONLY...........

Artisan 835 not ready for Mac

When I upgraded my iMac, I chose an Epson inkjet over the competition because of the quality and features. Particularly wi fi connection, duplex printing, and individual color cartridges. Alas, the Artisan 835 is not ready for Mac. The printer did not connect with my Airport Extreme network. I have some familiarity with the PC world and finally realized the Epson does not recognize WEP passwords longer than 13 characters. DESPITE the face the 835's interface accepts up to 26 character long passwords. There is nothing in the manuals to explain this. A greater disappointment was in store for me. Epson 835 is NOT AirPrint ready. FAIL. No printing from my iPhone unless I hard wire the "wireless" printer. What next? When can a loyal Epson customer expect to see a little daylight?

I was highly impressed with the printer right out of the box. The ease of setup was so simple. The instructions were easy to follow and printed in English, huge plus!
This is my first wireless printer, but it is my 3rd Epson. I will buy a 4th Epson as this one becomes obsolete. I have both Mac and Windows based machines that flawlessly connect and execute print jobs. My smartphone even has an app that allows me to print pictures taken with its internal 8 MB camera.
All in all, if you are looking for an everyday printer with high end photo capabilities and don't want to be tangled up.with wires... this is the printer for you!
