This is an amazing printer. The photos are absolutely gorgeous! I use this printer daily for both personal and work projects and am thoroughly impressed with the print quality. I love the touch screen. One of the few printers I could find which prints directly to dvd also.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just an amazing printer. So simple and user friendly. Love the control panel that allows you to scan, fax, or print photo's without having to go into any computer program. Great print quality and amazing color while being super fast. I love the auto 2 sided printing as well

Epson Artison 835 - (All-in-One)

I saw a photo printed before I purchased and it was fantastic. The Artisan 835 has all the features I required and I needed all of them to finish my Christmas projects!
The problem is that I could not get the printer to install.
First I used the CD along with the photo sheet showing the setting up of the Printer. It did not install. I then went online to obtain the correct drivers, and it still indicated that "no printer identified".
I then went to the Windows 7 -installation on the web (I had not see it before) and followed the instructions from that. At this time it is still not installed with over 4 hours and I cannot print yet.
It is hard to write a review on something that you have not used, but this has been so difficult that I feel compelled to comment.
When it is installed and working, I will write a review about the performance of the printer.

Install issue - needed to reboot printer!!

So far so good w/ the printer, except it took so long to install, and it wouldn't print... until I accidentally turned it off (then on again). Seems the reboot of the printer solved my printing problems, then I was able to install additional networked PCs - each took forever, but all combinations worked (Win 7 64 bits, 64 Vista and 32 bit Vista). All in all, it took me almost 3 hours to make it work for 3 PC's (almost 2 of which was to make it work for the first one).
No diagnostic seemed able to detect why it wouldn't work... Windows was able to "send" the file to print to the printer after 10-15 minutes wait, then a blank page would come out of the printer, but no error was being reported by either the printer nor the PC, and no indication why the file wouldn't be sent to the printer... and the Windows diag couldn't see any issues???
Other than that, I bought this printer to replace an Epson Stylus Photo RX620, which printed excellent pics, we loved it... except for the fact it woudn't work over the network with the combination of 32-bit clients and the 64 bit server. So no real photo tests yet (w/ 6 inks, same category as the RX620), but the network issues are now all solved with the Artisan 835.
I would recommend this to a friend!
